Hi all,
Kind of new here, been reading a lot but havent really posted. I was thinking about getting an eyebrow piercing, left side pretty far down the brow or whatever you would call it. I dont personally know anyone with one, but I think it would look call and all my friends are saying it would look cool. Ive read over some of the other piercing threads and gotten a little input but wanted to know just the basics about it. Never had a piercing a before and none of the guys that i know have had one either so any help would be appreciated =)

Only do it if you think it would look good on you. Don't listen to your friends, they are not getting the piercing. You are.

When you go to get it pierced, make sure that the place looks clean and professional.

i agree with ninety09, make sure the place looks legit. i got my chin type thing done (can't remember the name of it now) and liked not only having it, but also the strange feeling of having something peirce your skin. not really pain, hard to describe. but yeah, you can always take it out if you don't like it.

I had my eyebrow done last year. I loved it. It didn't really hurt getting it done. I was constantly taking it out for work and such, and left it out for too long once (a couple weeks) so it healed shut. You can't tell it was ever pierced now. I miss it, thinking about getting it re-done.

Know the risks, these things can get inffected so be safe with it, if you get it done go to a good place.

its not worth it, trust me, ive had my right eyebrow peirced Three times, and my right eyebrow periced once, that is the one i have in right now, they growout after 3 to 4 months, i never belived this myself. To the point that i kept fucking getting them, it doesnt hurt, and looks cool on some people. Things that you can do to help it not grow out is get a barbell instead of a ring, that helps because get pulls less and gets cought on less things. Clean it all the time. Go for it if you want but i wouldnt.

make sure you clean it alot...it can get infected

Your piercer:

-NEVER use a piercing gun
-ALWAYS use good hygiene including
-----new piercing needle
-----sterilized jewelery
-----fresh sterile gloves

The shop should appear clean.

Your piercer should go over the piercing, the risks and the after care BEFORE you are pierced.

They should NOT pierce you if you appear drunk or on drugs.

They should take all the time needed to answer your questions to make you feel comfortable. You should never feel rushed.

I have a friend who's probably gotten about 15 piercings at this place by now and those are just the ones i can see with a lot of friends who go to the same one and none of them have gotten infected, in fact i know one person who got a belly button piercing at another place, it got infected and she got it redone there at no problem so it looks like if i go for it that's the place to do it.

Clean the piercing with whatever for a week or 2 when IT starts to heal use salt water a few times a day, the strong stuff stops the healing, If it does get infected use alcahol a few times but dont overdo it, Dont touch it with your hand or let anyone else touch it.

I used to have an eybrow piercing until I ripped off a sweater too quickly once... It didn't tear all the way through, only about half way. God news is you can only see it if you look really close.

Your criteria should be if it makes you more attractive to the opposite sex. Ultimately, anything that you do to your body, if its effect is to gross out the opposite sex, in the long run, is not worth doing.
