got home from run half an hour ago so.. 2168.3 + 5 = 2173.3 km will get exact length of my normal run tomarrow when no work

Thanks -it's all training I'm doing for my 60 mile charity walk in August..
June 4 - 7 miles 11.26 km (but for math sake we'll make it 11.15  2234.85 + 11.15 = 2246 km

I haven't been able to run much in the past week or two. lots of traveling, vacation and a family funeral. i did run 5 miles in chicago, about a week ago, but haven't had access to a computer. so,
self total 211.7 miles grand total 2251 + 8 = 2259 towards whitehorse 231.3 + 8 = 239.3km (of 584) |

i hadn't noticed this thread. i dont usually keep track of mileage, but this is a good excuse to start.
let's see...13 miles on my bike this afternoon that'd be 20.9 kilometers so that'd be 260.23 kilometers toward whitehorse.

ok so biking again.
yesterday 8 miles; 15 this afternoon so 23 miles, 37 kilometers. so we, whatever that means, are now 315.9 km into the route to whitehorse. whiny aside: i would like to add extra kms to my total because i rode into a 30 mph or so headwind most of the way--the reason for it is that no matter which direction i went in, there was still a fucking headwind. chicago is a nice orderly grid for a reason. you'd think the climate would get with the program. sheesh.

Well, sort of. I was hoteled in Arlington Heights and had to walk ~four miles to a local office (On Busse). Did this three days straight, so 19 kilometers!! Todays contribution = 19 km Total self contribution = 593 + 19 = 612km (26.1%) Total distance = 2321.7 + 19 = 2340.7 km Distance towards Whitehorse from Cordova = 321.9 + 19 = 340.9 km (of 624km to Cordova AK)

Ok, I went a bit crazy last night, and ended up running 14.5 miles (I had set out to do only 10, but changed my route halfway through).

so that's 22.5 km.... looks to me like we passed this whitehorse place during mal's last entry somewhere. so i think i am standing in a field somewhere. i am the last person on earth that you or anyone else should trust for directions, so i think i'll just stand here next to my bike until somehow figures out where we are.

Like most of the Yukon, Whitehorse has a dry subarctic climate, although with warmer winters than some Canadian prairies cities. Whitehorse experiences annual temperature average daily highs of 21 °C (70 °F) in July and average daily lows of −22 °C (−7.6 °F) in January. Record high temperature was 34 °C (93 °F) in June 1969 and the lowest was −62 °C (−62 °F) in January 1947. Whitehorse has little precipitation with an average annual snowfall of 145 centimetres (4.75 ft) and 163 millimetres (6.4 in) of rainfall.
According to Meteorological Service of Canada, Whitehorse has the distinction of being Canada's driest city, mainly because it lies in the rain shadow of the Coast Mountains. Surprisingly, despite its relative cold, Whitehorse was ranked among Canadian cities with the most comfortable climate. Whitehorse has been described as "pearls on a string", with its residential, industrial and service subdivisions located along the main thoroughfares that carry traffic within city limits, with large gaps of undeveloped (often hilly) land between them. The Alaska Highway is the primary roadway, with branch roads reaching additional subdivisions. One such branch road, signed as "Highway 1A" and following Two Mile Hill Road, 4th Avenue, 2nd Avenue and Robert Service Way, is the main access to downtown, Riverdale and the Marwell Industrial Area. Other branch roads (Range Road, Hamilton Boulevard, Mayo Road) access smaller residential areas and recreational facilities.    We're headed next to Dawson Creek in British Columbia, Canada 1,404 km from Whitehorse...
