Xerox is sending your postcards to our troops
http://www.letssaythanks.com/
This page made it's way to me through a mass email, but I think that it's a really nice sentiment and great way to be able to lend a little support to some people that could probably really use it. If you don't agree with the war, don't like Bush, think America sucks, etc, please keep it in the Politics forum, I'd like this thread to focus on the people that are serving there and hopefully remind some of us that they're over there so that we don't have to be. Thank you guys and gals, get home safe. |
Thanks for sharing this, liquid light.
Sometimes in all the political mish-mash about the "war," it's easy to forget that there's individual people over there running towards a gun when all their instincts tell them to run away from it. And they're doing it day after day. I say, yay for them. I'll be sending as many postcards as Xerox lets me, bringing someone I don't even know a smile for at least one day. Shani, you need to get on the ball and start sending international hugs! :) |
I'm going to take a different tack toward derailing this and say I don't like Xerox. That company is the height of inefficient bureaucracy. Also, those postcards are sickmaking treacle. A kitten nestled under an American flag? Why not have it crapping hearts and sunshine while you're at it, Noel, 11, from Ringgold, GA!
Just kidding, this is nice. |
Nice post and looks like a good site.
As much as I hate war, I also feel badly about all those brave soldiers fighting in other countries. They need to know we Americans care about them and respect them for doing their duty. |
