Boxer Briefs

Boxer briefs rule!

After reading an article on boxer briefs on My MSN (In Praise of Boxer Briefs), I bought a two pack of Hanes Classic boxer briefs yesterday to try out, and let me tell you, I love ‘em. The dude who wrote the article knew what he was talking about!

However, I think this pair is too big. I bought a large (actual waist is 37), and I wear a 36 (which is slightly too big. Should be like a 35).

So I’m gonna ditch my boxers and go for briefs.

*Jacamican accent* BOO BOXERS! Horray boxer briefs! :p

Personally I dislike them. I find that the legs bunch up when I wear some jeans. If I'm wearing the 505 baggy ones they don't, but the 501s do.

Normally, I wear boxers with dress pants, and briefs with jeans.

They have the shorter legged ones that wouldn't bunch up - and I don't recommend wearing pants that are so tight, they don't allow room for something as little as a boxer brief. Not good for the nads, dude.

they aren't that tight... they are just tight enough to create enough friction to make them ride up. Think how women's panties sometimes ride up their ass when wearing khakis... same effect, but not as sexy.

and you can... oh never mind... quadro would just get mad :icare:

I only wear boxer briefs, at work that is. On the weekends I let it all hang loose.

I like the ones that are tight around the leg, actually I like them tight all the way around. I have a few that the ends stretch out huge. I save those for bedtime.

Boxer briefs are great. I hated wearing briefs and regular boxers were very comfortable. I have the same problem with them that Cyn does, but they're much better than any other option I've tried.

Charlatan 07-21-2006 09:58 AM

I have a mix of boxer and boxer briefs... I don't have any issues with them riding up. Never have.

I can say though, that I will never go back to briefs. They are damned uncomfortable.

stevie667 07-21-2006 10:06 AM

I always wear these, keeps the boys from jangling around so much.

Saying that, i do have a pair or two of nice going out (and taking off:thumbsup: ) boxers, but as a general rule, i don't wear them.

Yeah I know what you mean. I wore briefs up til middle school. Then I switched to boxers after being made fun of in the locker room. I thought the switch was GREAT. But boxer briefs are even better!

What are the brands? Is there a "special brand" that is better than others?

ratbastid 07-21-2006 10:44 AM

You know what, I've recently rediscovered briefs. I've been a boxers-only guy for fifteen years or more, but American Apparel makes these great briefs that come in cool colors (not exactly yer dad's tighty whitey). They're super comfy for anything athletic, and, between you and me, I like the way they shape my junk.

HAHAHAHA! Just a nice turn of phrase, there, m'dear!

My boyfriend only wears boxer briefs, so occasionally I go out and buy him some. My favorites are Jockey Sport boxer briefs--they have a higher leg cut and they make his ass look so sexy.

Rawr.

I have moved from the briefs to boxer briefs because they are so comfortable, and the legs don't ride up, even in jeans. I did get a pair that did not have tight legs, but were still boxer briefs, rather than true boxers. They did ride up, and were hard to pull pants up over without having to stick my hand down to straighten out. I call them my bloomers.

Brands: Fruit of the Loom, Stanfields, Hanes.

I did get a "fancy" pair from my wife, which are spandex-y and stretchy. But I tell you they don't breath as well as the cottons do, and the boys tend to get sweaty.

Make me wonder about if women really appreciate us wanting them to wear "fancy" panties....

So far my favorite is Fruit of the Loom r"inger style". I bought some 2/(x) which has an odd opening, but hey at least I don't have to pull the waistband down. They're okay

I HATE the Champion brand. They got some stiching that rides across your ass and it feels like bunched up boxers, but it's not.

I also found out I wear a medium, not a large. Which is good news.

Ha ha anyway, I thought I'd share my favorite brands so far.

i made the switch over to boxer-briefs about a month ago, and love it.

i had a bump on my inner thigh that irritated the hell out of me when i walked.
tried putting a bandage over it but it felt very weird when i was waking.
was thinking of a way to somehow protect my thigh from chaffing and boxer briefs popped into my head.

now, i only wear boxer briefs.

I pulled out a pair of gift boxer briefs to try them again. Sure enough, even without pants, the legs ride up. I'm going to stay a bikini brief wearer. It's like wearing a seat belt; my junk is safe and securely tucked away, not dangling out the window.

pornclerk 07-26-2006 09:49 AM

I kinda like when my boyfriend wears boxer briefs. There's something sexy about the tightness of them.

Another reason I'm starting to wear them. :suave:

Ha ha, it seems the clerks at stores kinda go *raises eyebrows* Ooooo sexy!

Or maybe I'm just translating it into something I'm wanting to see.

krwlz 07-26-2006 04:16 PM

Well, 90% of the time, I'm a "Commando" guy here. I like things swinging in the breeze. But when dressing up especially (Slacks are not the pants to wear while swingin... they are absolutly formless, so they show your... uh, form) boxer briefs are the way to go.

A little bit of support without the riding issue boxers have, or the uncomfortably tight "tighty whiteys" cause.

Shows your actual form or "lumpage"? I have large thighs and big glutes from weight lifting, and I get this problem with jeans that shows my "lumpage". The waist will actually be a size to big, but the combined size of my glutes & thighs shows some excessive lumpage.

Because of this I tend to wear baggy cargo pants most of the times. I  my cargos.

Reddy 08-15-2006 05:57 PM

Where exactly do you buy hanes classic?

longbough 08-15-2006 06:10 PM

I wear either boxers (silk and cotton) or boxer briefs. The only brand of boxer briefs I wear is Hanro of Switzerland. They're overpriced ($50 a pair) but they fit perfectly. I had tried other common brands but they don't fit like they should fit. Then I asked the advice of a lady-friend (who works as an image consultant). She recommended the Hanros and they feel and look great! If you can afford them you should give 'em a try.

Temporary_User 08-15-2006 07:20 PM

boxer briefs here. Although I still do have a few pairs of boxers laying around that I still will wear from time to time
(laundry days).
I've also always wanted to try those American Apparel briefs. some do look so cool, it I was so young the last time I wore briefs that I forget what they feel like.

I seem to stick with my Calvin Klein 365 boxer breifs. they're kind of spandexy so they dont lossen up during the day and turn into boxers, which I find hanes does.
I havent tried too many brands, but I would stay away from Nautica. they have seems around the butt that you can feel, it seems like you're wearing a diaper!
