Celebatery Fit Club

I've been thinking about starting a thread like this for a while. I've grown fond of Celebrity Fit Club. The real breakthrough series for me was the one with Jani Lane started with a mediocre weight loss, skipped an episode because he was trashed, did a bout of Bikram yoga and turned his life around.

You know how folks like Sally Jesse Raphael claim their show is good because it helps people with their problems (bullshit)? This show really inspired me to get off my ass and get in better shape. If a drugged our rocker can turn it around, surely I can lose a few pounds. If Willie Ames... well, Willie didn't lose anything, except his mind and dignity.

So anybody who wants to participate, please join in. If you want to lose weight, if you want to gain muscle, whatever type of fitness you've been meaning to do, let's have a weekly get together to compare results, talk about what works for you yadda blah gab.

The kicker, if you don't make progress, no sex for you for the week. No humpbacked horsey, no spanky monkey, not even a tossed salad, unless it has lettuce.

Weird, I know, but it was the best way I could think to tie it to the TV show.

I started in earnest two weeks ago, and am down 6 pounds. The sex has been great.

Who wants to participate?

Wow, I had to blink a few times before I realized what you were talking about... celebrity? salivatory? celery? Hehe. :) But I got it.

Why not just the "NO SEX FIT CLUB?" :D

As for me, I don't know about that. Isn't it one of those relatinship no-no's to withhold sex as a punishment? Especially if you're punishing yourself! Seems a bit masochistic.

Then again, I only have the chance to have sex two days a week... so I'd be hard-pressed to put that on the line. Sorry man, but let's see if anyone else bites.

You're probably right, and sex is good excercise, so, that part can be dropped.

Who ever just wants to be on a challenge like the push up challenge, let's do it. Discuss your plan and goals and how you're doing.

I guess I should have played off of Fight Club and called it Fit Club.

Whoa, I looked at this several times and saw "celebrity" each time, its funny how the mind works!!!

Ha, sure, why not.

5'11", 220 Lbs, 16% B.F. Currently on a cut to get down to 9% B.F. before Labour Day weekend.

Consuming about 2500 calories a day, 30 grams of protein, 200 grams of carbs, 40 grams of fat (mostly in flax oil and fish oil).

7 days a week at the gym. 5 days weight training, 3 days cardio. Split looks like this:
S: Triceps/Abs
M: Legs
T: Biceps/Shoulders/Cardio
W: Cardio
T: Chest/Abs
F: Back/Calves
S: Cardio

Most exercises done in a 2:2 ratio, meaning each rep up and down takes 4 seconds total.

Supplements:
Multi-Vitamin (with extra C taken on the side)
Flax Oil
Green Tea Extract
Ephedrine
Caffeine
Yohimbe
Zinc/Magnesium
Tribulus
Whey Protein
Cassien Protein

My goal is to drop about about 15 Lbs of fat. This program will also put on muscle, but it's not my main goal.

I started this specific program this past Sunday. Already visible results in the mirror. Weigh in and B.F. check every 2nd Sunday.

So what is everyone else doing?

I'm in.

I need to lose 35 pounds of fat to get to 7% body fat.

Only problem is that I don't have sex anyway. No girlfriend, and I don't drink/party so I can't exactly get one night stands :p

My diet plan will be a CKD (Cyclic Ketogenic Diet - 70% fats, 30% protein).

Works very well if you do it right.

I'm just sticking to meat and potatoes.

And buy that I mean lean chickeb/fish and pasta.

My workout consists of 40 minutes of aerobic walking/cycling, and weightlifting at least three times a week.

So far, I've dropped eight pounds, but I've kind of hit a wall this week, so I think I'm going to have to step it up.

I've not yet hit a week where I haven't lost, but it's getting slower.
