One thing I've heard of is to take a picture of yourself and then workout for a few weeks to try improve your image. Then compare yourself to that picture you took a few weeks ago and see the difference. Take another picture then, and then compare yourself to it in another few weeks. I've haven't done it myself, but it sounds like it would work! Good luck!

I'm the motivator for some of my friends at college.

I basically act like their drill sargeant: I bitch, and call them names, and hit them, and push them, and drag them to the gym when I can.

..but that was in college (during finals), now i don't work out... yet high metabolism keeps me as fit as ever (8 pack... etc).

Ive found that peoples attitudes can be inspiring. I have this mate named dave who is a hardcore focussed fitness dude. He doesnt do his routines for anyone else but himself. its inspiring how hard he can push himself, and his general demeanor about life is pretty good too.

Like some of you said, looking in the mirror helps motivate me. I love the fact that I can flex my arm and I actually have something there to show! Some goes for my chest too

Also I went shopping the other day because my clothes were getting so big on me! I used to wear XXL shirts and size 38 shorts/pants, but the shirts I got were all size Medium and my shorts were size 30!

All in all, I have to say that knowing I'm healthy is important too. I used to eat so much junk and drink so much soda and crap like that, but now I eat healthier and exercise often and just feel great.
