It either gets them going like you're saying, or it gets them going to wherever it is that they can't smell you. Quite a polarizing scent, I don't see why so many people love it.

Haven't smelled it. I haven't smelled much of anything in weeks due to a bad sinus infection and probably won't be smelling anything soon, so don't hold your breath on a response.

Hugo Boss Selection

Like all Hugo Boss scents I've tried, I like it on other people, but it does nothing good on my skin.

Also haven't smelled it. If it lives up to my expectations based on scents made by other car manufacturers, I'd stay away. On the other hand, one of the Perfumers did have a hand in a few that I do like, so it may have hope. Again, no chance of me smelling anything soon, so it'll be a while.

Armani Aqua Di GIO

This is what frat houses smell like when all the brothers have matured enough to stop buying Axe products. That's not to say it's bad, but I'd estimate that close to a third of male college students wear it along with the high school guys who want to seem high class. Not particularly impressive as a scent and way too synthetic for my taste, but young women in our culture have been conditioned to love it. Don't expect them to remember you for it.

Armani Black Code

Much better than Gio as a scent, I really want to like it, but there's a synthetic aspect I can't quite put my finger on that turns me off to it completely.

Dior Farenheit 32

MSD thanks again for starting this thread. After a recent trip to the store I brought home a sample of Dior's Farenheit 32. It's really striking. Just wondering if you had tried it. I think you might like it because , like me, you enjoy something a little outside the ordinary. It's warmth and sillage seem great for winter. It also happens to be impressively strong and long-lasting, on my skin.

honestley i did not drill through the 9 pages of this post. How ever i did find this site BeautyEncounter.com – Deals & Discounts on Beauty, Women’s Perfume, Men’s Colognes, Skincare, Makeup, Hair Care & Men’s Grooming that sells samplers for those of us who live in places with the the highest end department store is JCpennys. its about $3-$4 for a .05 oz sampler but better then spending $100 + on smothing you never smelled before.

I'm not sure if I've tried it. I'm regaining my sense of smell, so I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation.

Always good to sample. Also know that some manufacturers will send you fragrance cards or samples for little more than the cost of postage, or even free if you call them. Higher end fragrance houses tend to sell sample packs. All good options since ebay cracked down on decants

I suppose i'm going to have to wade back into this, the power of Jebus compells you, resurrect! Resurrect!

It lives! Mwuahahaha....

*cough* anyhoo, i've slowly been expanding my fragrence collection, moving into Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme. It do very much like it, but the La Nuit variant is gorgeous. Really female friendly (if you catch my drift). I've also had a fair amount of attention from Diesels Fuel for Life in that respect.

This is an expensive hobby, i'll tell you that.

Just checked out the new Aventis scent by Creed yesterday, along with the Love in White for my girlfriend;

The LiW got bought right away, the Aventis is amazing though! I'll hold off on buying it for myself till my own birthday, but I caught myself sniffing my wrist several times during the day, and this morning and even now, 24h later, it's still vaguely there.

I do sort of feel like I ruined myself for other scents since I started using Creed. Damn you, MSD

You don't have to let it spoil you, you just have to find good cheaper stuff. The three I've pretty much settled on in my rotation are Himalaya by Creed, Le 3me Homme by Caron, and Ungaro III by Ungaro. The latter two are $35 and $25, and the Ungaro III got me tackle-hugged by friends many times in college.
