You could try the method that others have suggested - first with the grain, then (relathered) against the grain. If that still isn't enough, you could go a third time (relathered yet again) against. They key would be to use little pressure and let the blade do the work.
Clearly going one time only against the grain isn't going to work for you any more than it does for me.

I've been using Mach3 for over 6 years now and truly has made shaving much easier.
I also follow the basic tips said again and again: - Slow, smooth strokes - Shave right after a shower - Use some sort of shaving cream or gel that is meant to soften the hairs Since you have a tough beard, remember to change the blade often enough. Sometimes I let it go longer than I should and when I put on a new one, I immediately notice the difference. I do shave against the grain, though, but only after shaving with the grain and only doing so for a special occasion. |
