I have not tried them, but I'm a touch skeptical. The one thing they say over and over is "safe and beneficial orthomolecular organic compounds", but they also say it is NOT transdermic, nor does it carry any metals or magnetic materials. Without active materials in it, and without the ability to pass passive material through the skin, I fail to see how it can "interact" with any aspect of the human body. Much of the science they talk about is quite sound, however much of it also has little to do with the product, and they are very skimpy with info on how the patch ACTAULLY works. They say what processes it is supposed to interact with (or not interact with even, but enhance through some mystical mechanism of biophysics apparently).

The other issue is that, at least in my experience, physiotherapists and "sports doctors" have a tendancy to get taken by things like this. It's not like they have an M.D. (most at least). The basic understanding they DO have is what is taken advantage of by spewing medical fact and trying to intertwine some new product using buzzwords and conceptual information.

Now, all that said, I have no clue if it works since I have not personally tried them, nor do I know anyone who has. I would just not expect major miracles with them. If you get them, and they DO work wonders, please let us know!

:-)

A lot of medi-speak in that site's stuff. Seems like if it worked they'd be able to 'splain it in simple terms. What the heck, they say nearly immediate results. If that doesn't happen, get your money back. If it doesn happen...sign me up!

I'm with xephyris on this one. I've read through the site and it seems like a lot of technical jargon designed to confuse the consumer without really explaining what the 'patch' is or how it works.

It's a pretty good scam, really. You make stuff sound as scientific as possible and most people will read it and assume it's just over their heads.

Don't trust your physiotherapist to know all that much more than you do in regards to things like this. If he's raving about a new product, you definitely have to make sure you do your own research. Hell, licensed MD's get taken in by stuff like this on a regular basis and they're the ones who are definitely supposed to know better.

i tried them today, for the first time ... small reduction in my head and neck pain ... now, am i having a "good" day or is there somthing to this "hokee-pohkee"? ... i will keep ya posted

its kind of expensive (didnt see that coming <--- sarcasim) ... a little over a hundred bucks "canadian", (ya, ya i heard all the yankee dollar comparison jokes  ), but its still a lot of money for a 30 day supply !

p.s. since im new here, maybe you all can forgive my ignorance ... how do i enter a quote in my profile?

thanks in advance

There's a funny thing about pain : if you expect to feel less pain, you'll feel less pain. This is what's known as a placebo effect. I feel kind of bad disabusing you of the notion that these things are working; I mean, if you expect them too and your pain is more bearable because of it, then I suppose one could argue that they are working, in a sense. But the reality is that there is no scientific basis for these patches that I was able to determine. In other words, it's probably just a good day.

I'm not sure what you're referring to about quotes. To quote a prior post in yours, you press the "quote" button; there's one at the bottom of every post. You can also include the bbcode for it, which is [quote ]...[/quote ] (spaces added to avoid having the tags parsed as code) with the desired quotation in the middle. bbcode is like html, but it's specific to phpbb style bulletin boards (these are the prevailing type in use today).

Update on "Patch's"

Well, i've had them on for over a week now and i gotta say, they have reduced my over all pain levels by up to fifty percent ..... i was able to step down my morphine "mg.'s" from 12mg. twice daily, to 6mg. three times daily.
I know that doesnt sound like a lot, but any reduction is a "good" reduction. (especially since it has done nothing but go up for the past two and a half years.

The funny thing is, when i take them off, or after a day and a half or so of wearing them the pain begins to flare up gradually. When i put new ones on, it slowly begins to receed .... hmmm?

My free supply runs out in a week or so, will continue to keep ya posted ...

i actually got some more of the "patches" ... so they didn't run out till last week.
since they have been off, i've had more bad days than good ... maybe there is something to them ...

Yeah, it's called the placebo effect.

With so much technical jargon in there, it was certainly designed for the sole purpose of confusing the typical consumer. If these "nano-organic" molecules were really nano-particles, they wouldn't be passive and they would pass into the skin.

I have seen these types of products that give a bunch of nonsense that nobody will understand in hopes they will trust the company. I was researching this pheromone product. On their website, they claimed to use mass spectrometry to prove its purity and offered a lovely picture of the scan. However, the scan was that of an IR scan, certainly not a mass-spec scan.

PLACEBO EFFECT!!!
