The TFP Push-Up Challenge!!!
 
Somebody gave me an idea this week and I think there are probably some TFPers around here who will join me in this:

Let's collectively do 10,000? No... 50,000?? No... 75,000??? NO... 100,000?!?! NO!!! The approximate number of years the earth has been around push-ups by the end of 2025!

(I think this will be one hell of a quarter century.)

Now, my roommate and I are trying to do this just between the two of us in our own End-of-the-Lease 10,000 Push-Up Challenge, so I'm going to be churning out as many as my little body can produce.

I did some today, so the current total is 60.

Who's with me??? Huh? Huh??? :D :thumbsup:

I've been doing 100 per day for the last... 15 years-ish.

When did/does the counting start?

It's kind of embarrassing to be doing pushups in your office and have someone walk in and have to tell them that your web forum has a pushup challenge.

I think it was only 415 (those twinkies didn't count) + 85 =500

+ frogza's 32 = 523 so far!

(Thanks for helping with the count, will. Maybe everybody could post the total along with their own contribution to keep the adding manageable?)

They most certainly do count, astrahl. Do whatever kind of push-ups you can... it's just important that you're doing them! Please join us!! :)

Also, there are enough people already participating to make the goal number bigger, so 50,000 it is!

I've been doing 100 per day for the last couple days and a bit more in the past week (don't know how many though). This is a great thread because I recently started doing push ups fairly intensively. One of my long term goals is to be able to do 100 pushups in one set (Already up to 50. Yeah. I have a small body).

Okay, I just did a really sad (but difficult) 10. I usually do them with my arms a little wide, but I'm trying to do them off of push-up bars (actually, it's my doorgym on the floor) so that I can get deeper... and that makes my arms have to be closer together than I'm used to. This should get interesting.

Let's make separate threads for the sit-up and pull-up challenges. :)
