How to Remove Rust Stains
Totally unsoliciated but let me say
We had a leak behind our wall, from a shwoer, the mixing board was dripping. Water leaked everytime we took a shower, and one day we saw the dripping red water in the ceiling below. It also happened to drip on our dining room- cloth covered chairs. Very very expensive to replace - since they are old, no way I could replace just one. I tried everything ( except CLR- because it didnt say it was for fabrics..) I tried Goop - all sorts of removers from the hardware store- until I stumbled into a True Value for some drywall screws and saw a product called WHINK This stuff is awsome. Squirt some on the stain, walk away- 10 hours later- its gone! maybe less but i was asleep The carpet in the room next to the shower was soggy too due to leak, and too was a rust stain, squirt it on and walk away. Works like a charm! Just wanted to give you all a big FYI- this stuff is awsome - and it might take some searching to find- but its worth it if you need it. saved me hundreds |
Thanks for the tip.

You need a power washer and there is a brand called CLR (calcium, lime, and rust) let that sit and then use the power washer. Many can be rented from hardware stores such as home depot or lowes

I can vouch for the CLR stuff... Worth it's weight in gold.
