Paper Airplanes.......

I tried to make a paper airplane for my cats to chase. I failed. The plane went up, turned, and straight down. My cats and I would appreciate any instructions and suggestions...

Procure one sheet of standard paper.

Fold paper in half lengthwise.

Pick an end that will become the nose of the plane. This end will hereafter be referred to as the "front" of the plane.

Fold one side of the front back until the front edge is now along the bottom (creased) edge of the paper. Repeat with the other side. If the paper is not symmetrical across the initial fold, return to the first step.

Fold the front back again, so that the angled edge is now aligned with the initial fold. Repeat for the other side. Once again, if the paper is not symmetrical, return to first step.

Unbend the last fold you made on each side so that the flaps form wings. Your paper should now resemble a classic paper airplane.

I found a pretty cool site that has instructions on how to make some cool paper airplanes. That should keep you and the cats busy for a while

you might want to go with a glider type airplane... they are usually slower and have more hang time... prolly better for the cats to chase..

You may want to go to a hobby store and buy some of those balsa wood planes we used to get as kids. Pretty sturdy and fly a LONG way. I know my cat used to love those.

I had a cat that liked chasing fishflies. I'd always bring a couple into the house for her to play with. Their perfectly harmless, and she'd simply eat them when she was done.

Try adding a little weight to the front of the plane like a paper clip.
