Homology in linguistics
 
Need information about 'homology' in linguistics and I dont seem anything on google.

Need example too.

Homology is the idea that a resemblance between two languages can be explained by saying that they both descended from a common ancestor.
For example, many words in the Indo-European languages (English, Spanish, Russian, Sanskrit, etc.) sound similar, so many people think they all descend from the "Proto-Indo-European" language.
