How to get rid of mildew in closet

I'm going to call my landlord but is there a way to get mildew out of a closet? Any stuff I should use?

Spray on a solution of bleach and water (maybe 10 to 20% bleach to 80 to 90% water). Let it sit on for a little while then spray again and scrub a bit. Once this is done there is anti mildew paint available but it won't help much if you don't eliminate the source of the moisture.

X-14 works well;

Where can I get X-14? Is it toxic?

One of my friends suggested I line the walls with plastic. Anyone know what kind of plastic to get and where?

Plastic is a bad idea. It will just allow the mildew to grow under it. Mildew resistant paint is much easier and will work better. There's some paint that's called Kill'z or something that will work. You can get it at Home Depot or Lowe's in their paint area.

X-14 you can get agt the supermarket or Home Depot/Lowes.

A good way to halt and reduce the growth of mildew is with a dehumidifier. Pulls out the moisture needed for the mildew to live.

A simple 10 to one bleach solution is also very effective in killing and cleaning it.

If it has bored into sheet rock. Replace the sheet rock.

Otherwise after removing moisture (mildew food) and bleaching dead and cleaning away the mildew use a good mildewcide paint. Never used x-14, but have heard good things about it. I have used Killz, and think it to be fantastic. Will keep knots on fresh hewn pine from bleeding through, and in general makes an excellent primer, and mildewcide. Avoid the ~spray~ version and go with the can and brush method. Also if your upto it use the oil based stuff.
