Bloodshot eyes.

Maybe this is in the wrong section but anyway.

I recently noticed that my eyes are bloodshot, not badly but theyre not clear white either. It doesnt seem to matter how much sleep Ive had. I get 4-5 hours weekdays & try to catch up on weekends. But mo matter what day it is theyre always bloodshot.

Can I do something to clear this up? Eyedrops? Or is it my erattic sleep pattern? Stress? heat?

Thanks.

There are so many things this can be from staying up late to allergies to eye infections etc. I woke up the other day with a red splotch in the corner of my eye. It went away all by its lonesome as they mostly do, apparently.

If the eye is not scratchy or sore, it probably just means you need to change your dissipated life style! Or not.

It sounds like that you are not getting enough sleep? Despite what you may think there is no way of making up sleep. Setup a regular time that you go to sleep, if you can try not using a alarm clock try to train yourself how to get up at the time you would normally set your alarm clock too. if there is a program that you like to watch in the night consider taping it.

Sometimes redness could occur from chemicals such as from household cleaning products, perfumes, colgnes, hairsprays, and so forth.

Also if you suffer from seasonal allergies, from dust, mites, grass, spores, and molds can cause redness.

Smoke from a cigarette can cause redness too. Most times the redness will go away by itself, but if it reoccurs you should really go to a doctor and get to the bottom of it. Hope this helps:D

Naphcon-A eyedrops stopped all of my eye pain and suffering. now I don't itch or look stoned.

I had the same problem for a while, and it turned out to be caused by the fan blowing over my bed. The fan would blow little particles of dust/dirt into my eyes during the night.

Once I stopped sleeping under a fan, the problem went away.

Clear Eyes makes a couple of different eyedrops that clear up redness

Yeah clear eyes and visene work pretty well with red eyes

Cynthetiq 07-23-2003 10:53 AM

maybe you need to just wash them out... get some lubrication drops... or even synthetic tears.... the clear eyes and visine isn't meant to be used all day over and over... but just some lubrication to keep your eyes from drying out...

Mine get bloodshot from staring at my computer too long... I think I forget to blink or something... Usually I try to make it a point to look away from my monitor, or give it a rest periodically... kinda hard to do when sitting infront of a computer is my profession. :P
