How does the morning after pill work? Specifically, does it work on a "one accident, one pill" strategy, or would taking one pill after having unprotected sex numerous time be equally effective?

It's not a method of "Oops, we had sex all night and didn't have any condoms" birth control.
It's intended for birth control failure, not brain failure.

It shouldn't be used often I understand, but there probably is a time period where all the sex is covered be it ~12 hours prior to taking the pill and ~18 hours after. (hours made up by me)

No, it's for "oops the condom broke," and "fuck, i got raped." Not, "oops, I'm having unprotected sex".

For a girl who has sex less than once a year, the 'oops, I had unprotected sex' might happen. And it might be "oops, I had unprotected sex two or three times last weekend while at the lake". And the Plan B pill will work for that.

Yes, she should have talked to her doctor about BC pills, had condoms, or found some way to get them, but life isn't perfect.

Or she can just have an abortion* in a few weeks
