Help me figure out this vacuum :(
A friend of mine gave me her vacumm cleaner to use at my new place, and it seems to work well, however, I can't for the life of me figure out where to switch it from using the hose to the actual vacuum.
I don't see a switch ANYWHERE. I've found the owner's manual online, and tells me everything BUT how to do this. It's a Eureka Whirlwind Litespeed, model # 5843 AZ Serial Number 0412015854. Can anyone find SOMETHING? Or know anything about how to switch so I can vacuum my rugs? I'm going NUTS!! I tried calling Eureka's customer service, but they're closed today. HELP PLEASE!!!!

Heehee... I can't find a pic of it online, but I'd check two places:
1) Along the top/mid of the center on the back 2) There may be a second, smaller foot lever on the back, bottom left. If you can't find it, break down the whole thing in your mind into smaller parts. Check each part completely and then check it off the list. |

Well, the product page on Eureka's website is 404'ed.... No access to manual, no idea of what the deal is. On the vacuums I've used, you usually just stick the hose into a hole on the vacuum, which channels it through the rolling/sweeping part of the vacuum. Good luck.
