Seeking a specific joke

Had a conversation in the office today in regards to the breakfast club. There is a scene where Judd Nelson (John Bender) is crawling in the ceiling, and falls. While crawling he is telling a joke that gets cutoff. We were trying to remember what the joke was, and if anyone knows the punch line. I did just put breakfast club on netflix just for this!

Thanks in advance.

VERNON
That's what I though...you're a
gutless turd!
Vernon leaves and locks the closet door after him.
Bender climbs into a hatch in the ceiling and
disappears.
CUT TO:
22. INT. HEATING DUCT - DAY
Bender is slowly crawling through a heating duct.
BENDER
(to himself)
A naked blond walks into a bar, with
a poodle under one arm and a two
foot salami under the other. She
lays the poodle on the table. Bar-
tender says: "I suppose you won't
be needing a drink." The naked
lady says...
The ceiling under Bender gives and he falls through.
BENDER
(screaming)
Oh shit!!!!

BTW - I'll give a dollar to the person who actually can come up with the punchline to this joke, I gave up looking years ago... ;)

According to IMDB.com:

"The joke that Bender tells but never finishes (while crawling through the ceiling) actually has no punchline. According to Judd Nelson, he ad-libbed the line. Originally, he was supposed to tell a joke that would end when he came back into the library and said, "Forgot my pencil", but no one could come up with a joke for that punchline."

Redlemon! How could you possibly have been a teenager in the 80s and not have seen this movie at least once...

It's like I don't even know you...

Bar-tender says: "I suppose you won't be needing a drink."

The naked lady says... "no just some lube for this salami"

Charlatan 08-22-2005 12:49 PM

...no just some scotch for the dog and some mustard for the salami.

...I got nuthin'

I didn't see much in the way of pop culture while growing up, especially the John Hughes style of movies. Occasionally we catch one if it comes up on Comedy Central or something, but it wasn't until after graduation that I saw any of them. Yes, I'm 36, there's really no excuse.

"Just pour some beer in a saucer, the dog won't eat otherwise"? Nah, that's no good either.

there's actually a website or two (at least there used to be) devoted to finding a punchline for the joke...

CSflim 08-22-2005 08:16 PM

Is it possible that the punchline to this joke is contained in Marsellus Wallace's briefcase?

Don't feel bad, red ol buddy, I never saw it either.

I also don't have a punchline for the joke.
