stupid cat, smart solution :-)

my cat jumped out the window, so when i caught it i yelled at it and it pissed on my chair so i threw it in the shower and turned it on......

yeah it was funny

Squishor 06-03-2005 09:22 PM

That's not funny.

pattycakes 06-03-2005 09:32 PM

oh but it was you had to be there

pattycakes 06-03-2005 09:47 PM

ahahaha actually the real funny thing is it went outside in the rain and im not going ot there to find him. i wouldent throw my cat in the shower unless it has 8lbs of mud on it

MexicanOnABike 06-04-2005 07:42 PM

no inside jokes plz... . nobody gets em...

Sweetpea 06-04-2005 07:48 PM

Are you being mean to your cat and think it's funny?

Sweetpea

pattycakes 06-04-2005 08:12 PM

no i wasnt being mean. i open my windows at the top, and it jumped tot he top of the window and ripped throught the screen, when i heard it i closed the window and left it out in the rain because i wasnt going to go out after it. and i ddnt want the other cat to think of going out that way. so the cat got rained on for a while then it layed under a table waiting for me to open the door.

Siege 06-04-2005 08:58 PM

Like other members, I fail to see the humour in this.

You weren't being mean by not opening the door to let your cat in while it was raining... Isn't that like me saying i'm not being mean by kicking someone in the genitals repeatedly while laughing?

Perhaps I should clarify. I wasn't saying that you had to physically abuse something to be mean towards it. But purposely mistreating it would certainly qualify as mean.

Irishsean 06-05-2005 01:52 PM

Wheres the funny?

pattycakes 06-05-2005 02:16 PM

the cat goes outside, its raining how is it mean for me to not go get em? its not because its the stupid thinghat went out. i should have taken a picture when it cambe back in because it was funny as all

Irishsean 06-05-2005 02:41 PM

Your changing your story again? First you grabbed it and threw it in the shower, then it went out in the rain and you just left it out there, then it tore thru the window on its own and you left it outside.

1. Its not funny, its cruel. People like you should not be allowed to have animals or children.

2. I bet the whole story is bullshit. Its changed so many times now odds are it never happened.

3. If anything like any of these various made up unfunny stories you have been spouting did happen, I really really hope karma bites you on the ass.

Wow, that was harsh. First, you say that this guy shouldn't be allowed to have animals or children. Then you say that he was making it up anyway, which is neither funny nor cruel.

In any case, hasn't the TFP taught you to be quiet before being rude or judgmental?

oh, okay, whew :) Thanks for clarifying, from your initial post, i wasn't sure . . . but what you did, that's not mean. And perhaps it did look funny when it came in. :) too bad you didn't get a picture.

There are a couple of people out of line in this thread . . .

Please, let's not get into mud-slinging on this thread.

we are all mature individuals, let's act like it. :icare:

i was kidding about the shower part. and yeah it tore through the screen to get out i dont see how i am changing my story.

if i dont let my cats outside how else would it have gotten out besides the window.

shakran 06-05-2005 04:42 PM

Assuming you're telling the truth (I have my doubts because you already admitted you made stuff up), then you have wildly distorted expectations for the intelligence level of cats.

Cats do not think 50 steps in the future. Your cat will not think "Gee. If I tear the screen and then jump out the window and then it starts raining I'll get wet, and since I don't like that I guess I won't tear the screen."

Since cats do not have the cognitive skills to predict future negative outcomes to current actions, it is your responsibility to make sure the cat can't do those things which would cause the cat to suffer.

YOU left the window open. Not the cat. You, being human, presumably have sufficient intelligence to predict possible consequences. Assuming you were aware of opening the window, and assuming you remembered you have a cat, it shouldn't have been overly difficult to predict that the cat could jump out of an open window.

And now that you have failed to anticipate what your cat will naturally do, you want to punish the cat for your shortcomings by making it miserable for awhile.

That's not the action of a responsible pet owner, nor is it the action of a compassionate human being. Perhaps you SHOULD consider a pet-free life, if such a relatively mild transgression by your cat causes you to knowingly allow it to be miserable.

hey, let's lighten up, people...(modspeak for "hey, let's lighten up, people...)

I didnt fail to anticapate anything. thats why i opened the top of the window. duh.

yeah if the cat wants to gooutside in the rain im not going to chase it around to bring it back in. i opened the door a few times but it didnt willingly come in the house it didnt want to get any wetter i guess so i just left it under the table.

an as i said before the shwer part was ajoke

I imagine the difference is in the accent and inflection? :)

Chuckles 06-06-2005 11:47 AM

FLAMEBOARD !@$!@#$!@#~~!~@#!@

shakran 06-06-2005 12:07 PM

Look. It wasn't a flame. Pattycakes posted a message bragging about how she abused her cat. Then she retracted part of the message. Changed the story a bit when she caught a little heat. But the new story only changed the source of the water, it didn't change the end result.

The fact that she posted this in the humor forum indicates that she finds the misery of cats to be funny.

It's not a flame to call it like it is.

Daniel_ 06-06-2005 12:48 PM

It's not THAT cruel - after all the cat hid under a table.

It's not like he made it sit tied to a stake.
