Traveling cat lover.
I did a bunch of searches, couldn't find anything, though this is a hard joke to search for, sorry if it's a repost.
LONG joke ahead. Be warned. LONG LONG LONG There once was a man named Bob. Bob loved his cat very much, being a bachelor for over two decades, this cat was his only real companion, and it loved him very much for all the attention he gave it. Bob's job required him to do a lot of traveling, and so periodically, he would ask his nephew Timmy to watch his cat while he was gone. Timmy was very good with Bob's cat, and Bob trusted Timmy. Bob was on a particularly long trip one year when he heard horrible news from Timmy: Bob- "Hi Tim, how's my cat doing?" Timmy- "Well, uncle Bob, your cat died, he got run over by a car." Bob was speechless for a few moments, Timmy heard soft sobbing in the phone. Bob- "I loved that cat Timmy, I think you could have let me down a little easier." Timmy- "how so?" Bob- "Well, say that when I called today, instead of saying right out that my beloved cat had died, I think it would have been better if you had strung it out a bit." Timmy- "I still don't understand..." Bob- "well, maybe if you had just said; 'your cat is fine, he's up on the roof and we can't get him down but the firemen are ontheir way.' Then, when I called back, you could say; 'we got your cat down fine last night, he's sleeping now, it looks like everything is going to be fine.' I would obviously call back the next day, and you could tell me; 'your cat is looking a little tired, I took him to the vet, and he said that the cat just needed rest and that he should be okay in a couple of days.' You could string me along like that for a week or so until you told me that my cat had died peacfully in his sleep, without pain and shock. That would have made me feel much better..." Timmy- "Well, sorry uncle Bob, I'll try to remember that." Bob- "It's okay, I can get a new Kitten when I get home. Anyway, how's Grandma doing?" Timmy- "well... she's up on the roof and we can't get her down......" Wow, that was longer that I thought... |
