Jack Handey Quote of the Day 9-17-04
Waaaaay late, I'm trying to catch up. The university internet was down due to virus-infected-kazaa-monkeys spewing packets all over like a freshman at his first kegger.
--- I couldn't believe it! Someone had stolen my new sled! My brand-new, all-white sled, with the runners I had painted white and the white tow-rope and my name written on the top, in white. I asked all of my so-called friends which one of them took it, but they all denied it. Finally, in the spring, right after the snow melted, the thief brought it back to where I had left it. --- When I was about ten years old, we set up a lemonade stand on the sidewalk in front of our house. But we didn't sell many glasses, and after a few hours, we took it down. I think that was the first time I realized that the world doesn't give a damn about you or anything you do. --- More from "Fuzzy Memories" on the way, assuming my 'net stays up. |
