There's a Dilbert cartoon where the office workers realize they can say whatever they want to the boss so long as they preface it with "With all due respect." For example, "With all due respect, is that your face or is a monkey climbing down your collar?"
I do like the fact that Rumsfeld counterattacked as a means of avoiding the question. "Donald, are you guys lying about the war?" "Shut up Ted, you killed that girl!"
