A Test in Ethics
 

Not sure if this should be inpolitics, but you can change the names

With all your honour and dignity -what would you do? This test only has
one question, but it's a very important one.

Please don't answer it without giving it some serious thinking... By
giving an honest answer you will be able to test where you stand morally.

The test features an unlikely, completely fictional
situation, where you will have to make a decision one way or the other.
Remember that your answer needs to be honest, but yet spontaneous.



You're in Florida... in Miami, to be exact...
There is a huge chaos going on around you, caused by a hurricane and all
the flooding...

There are huge masses of water all over you....

You are a CNN photographer...and you are in the middle of this great
disaster .....

The situation is nearly hopeless.

You're trying to shoot very impressive photos...

There are houses and people floating around you,
disappearing into the water...

Nature is showing all its destroying power... and is ripping everything
away with it...

Suddenly you see a man floating by on a log...

He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken
away by the masses of water and mud...

You move closer...

Somehow the man looks familiar and, somehow,
important...

Suddenly you know who it is - it's George W. Bush!

At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him
away, forever...

You have two options.

You can save him or you can take the best photo of
your life.
So you can save the life of George W. Bush, or you can shoot a Pulitzer
prize winning photo... A photo displaying the death of a very powerful
man...

And here's the question: (Please give an honest
answer)




Will you take the photo in black and white, or colour?

Then I would still try to save his life.

Color... and then save him. There are very few people I can think of that I wouldn't save (living people that is). Even those I totally disagree with. Heck, your saving that person might make them rethink their positions on issues...

Colour and then I'd let the Secret Service save his ass... and take pictures of that too!

I wouldn't vote for him, but I would save him.

Black and white. And then I'd save him.

I'd huck the camera at him to make sure he dies :D

Black and White... I'd make some dumbass comment to him too.... like 'are you doing okay or do you need some help?' Something dumbass like that.

I'd take it in color, then if I wanted a black and white copy later I could always do that in photoshop.

Black and white, it ll look good on his funeral.
Besides, all of the black and white tv owners wout miss out on the fun.

Why does everyone answer the joke as if it were a real ethics test? :confused:

hah, I'd take it in digital, then give copies to everyone in 50 different versions of B/W, and in color.

And i'd save him..but darnit, i'd hate to get my new digital camera wet, and darnit, this one is too light to throw at him to make sure he dies, sooo, i guess i'd jump in and save him, but afterwards, i'd kick him in the nuts

if i were a real photographer i would a camera with several settings so i would take one in B&W and then color and to get some other variations ill turn the camera on its side and also mess with the panoramic setting.

i'd ask him to "Vogue" for me....

Nah, i'd just snap a few, change lenses, snap a few more, get some good shots in RAW digital, then save him, Then kick him in the nuts...

Ugh, fine I'll answer the question too since everyone is. I'd save him, kick him in the nuts, then throw him back in.

Color... you can always turn it into black and white but it's awful hard to turn it into color. But in all realaty if there was somthing I could do to save him I would.
