Bible joke.
This may not be so funny to Christians, but I hope you can turn the other cheek. I can and would do this with any religious work, so just switch "Bible" for "Qoran" where you see it.
That having been said, I think it's absolutely hilarious to pretend to quote verses of the Bible and, instead, quote information from cereal boxes. I've been doing it in chat for a day or so now, and I actually responded to a serious post with some of my favorite Bible verses (because I'm just plain silly.) Quotes like Exodus, chapter 7, verses 8-9: Quote:

hmmmm....yes I noticed that you did.....weirdo.

...k, gotcha

hmmm, maybe you would have a little more luck if you chose phrases that sound like bible passages.

Genesis 9 v 7: find captain crunches friends in the puzzle above. connect the dots and see the magic picture.

Hurray! Another (brother/sister) in the Word! Hallelujah!
|
I need to try that sometime

HEH. I can see the humor. It'd have to be one EXTREMELY test Christian to be insulted by that, though.

I will say this for everyone....
WTF? |

Your reaction. See? It's hilarious to call on the name of something that so many people know and respect, and then quote something as inane as the packaging information from a box of cereal. It catches people so off-guard that they often just sit there, stunned. How often do you get to do that? How often do you see the face of total confusion? Lemme tell ya, folks, it's pretty funny-lookin'. Try it if you'd like. Ignore it if it doesn't suit. Just don't ask me to dissect the punchline of any more jokes; it ruins the fun. |
