Danish Humour (NSFW!)
Humour is a funny thing. It can be universal - like Mr. Bean for instance. And sometimes it's too much of a cultural thing to be considered as funny by other nationalities.
It got me thinking whether or not you foreigners would think that Ørkenens Sønner (Sons of the Desert) is funny. Ørkenens Sønner has existed since 1991 and is one of the peaks of Danish culture - as far as the dirty and outrageous type of humour goes. The unique combination of singing and witty/clever impersonations/sketches has made them extremely popular in Denmark. I managed to dig up some of their non-verbal sketches. One of them is the unforgettable from their show Et Skud I Tågen (=a shot in the dark) from 2004: And then there's the one and only Otto Fjærtoman's ("fjært"=Fart) from the Et Skud I Tågen show and from the Et Storm I Et Glas Vand (=a storm in a teacup) show from 2001: So... what do you think?

well, it is harder to be funny when you don't say anything. The dance was clever, especially the "guitar" playing, though I wonder what the audience was laughing at when the guys are moving around in the big white suits...
Fart man? well, that is pretty much a guaranteed laugh - toilet humour always works. PS: FWIW - there is something Benny Hill about it - maybe I'm not a usual judge because I don't find benny hill funny at all...

I just saw Monty Python, Live at the Hollywood Bowl the other night. It's a show from the (I think) early 80's - Ørkenens Sønner strikes me as very inspired by Monty Python. If you like the one, there's a chance you'll like the other... Assuming you understand Danish, that is.
