The Trade
Sent to me by a pastor friend ... Yes, even preacher's have days like this! ~
Blessings, Pastor Tim ========================= A preacher is riding along on his bicycle and sees a little boy with a lawn mower for sale. He stops and asks the boy how much he wants for the lawnmower. "Not much, mister. I just want to make enough to buy a bike." "Well, how about if we trade?" The boy looks at the preacher's bike and didn't have to think twice. "Sure, mister, that would be great." They make the exchange and as the boy begins to leave, the preacher pulls on the cord to the lawnmower and finds that it wont start. "Hey, little boy. This thing wont start." "Oh, my dad says that you have to cuss at it for it to start." The preacher smiles. "Son, I'm a preacher and I've been a Christian so long I don't think I remember how to cuss." The boy smiles back at the preacher. "Just keep pulling that cord. It'll come back to you." |
