Looking for Free MMO's
 

I've played a lot of MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online for those out of the acronym loop) games in my time, and I've always looked for other that are interesting.

I've played the pay 2 play ones such as EQ 1, DaOC, Planetside (not an RPG though) and a few others that won't come to mind.

And I've played about a trillion free, open beta, private server games of all sorts.

I want to know if anyone might know of any more, I know of a few.

It's a bit like Ragnarok, only not anime. A cousin of mine used to play it a bunch, and got me to try it. I only played for a few days though.

This may not be exactly what you are looking for but www.kingdomofloathing.com is free and pokes fun at other MMO's (as well as music, movies, etc.). If you ever do get wrapped up in the game, join the Tilted Freedom Providers (a clan made up of TFP members, though it has died off a bit).

Guild Wars is free if you can find a cd key

I say just suck it up and get WoW :thumbsup:

I do play Guild Wars atm, but im getting bored of it since Old Ascalon is boring most of the time

Then move onto the other portions of the game?

I'm only lvl 7, and therefore, I would get my ass handed to me in another area.

I've been playing it and it seems fun, its considered a Massive Multiplayer Online Tactical Strategy Game (MMOTSG for short)

You build up your fleet of battle ships and you fight against other players.
I suggest everyone should try it out

lvl 7 is good enough for post-searing in GW

Anarchy Online is free.
Ultima Online's Shards (private servers) are free.

Level 7 is high enough. I made it to Piken Square by 8.

I've seen level 12's at lion's arch :crazy:

I use to play AoA, I loved that game, though it was difficult for me since i didn't have a joystick.
AoA is an awesome game, and I would definitely try and play it again.

sort of a sidescrolling mmo you could say, reason why we dont play much anymore is cause its very repetitive and slow leveling even from the start.

I moved into the 2nd half of GW at lvl 5, you should be fine moving on into the game.

I used to play that too. But my god is it boring. I ended off at level 24, just so my character could wear the wicked bamboo hats. :lol:

I play Maple Story before as well, I also quit for the exact same reason haha
if the XP was a little higher, i might like it a bit more, but i don't think ill play it again.

My favorite one is runescape - www.runescape.com
It's free, but there is also a pay version that gives you a lot more. The cool thing about it is you can switch back and forth between free and pay.
