Final Fantasy VII for PS3?!
No, not actually. But if you remember that intro we all loved from the PSX, you'll recognize this. It's what they call a 'tech demo'. They remade the FFVII intro, with PS3 quality. Enjoy ;)
Final Fantasy VII Tech Demo edit: Also I'd like to note, if they've gone that far with a Tech Demo, who knows, maybe, JUST MAYBE, they'll re-release it with PS3 graphics. That'd be soooooo nice. |
They will NOT re-release it. The President of Square-Enix said so himself at the press conference. You can watch it at Gamespot. Very nice presentation.

yea i have seen so much people claiming they are when i remember him saying there is no plans.
but from what i remember there was a same rumour when ps2 came out and we did not see that happen... |
I know I know.. I just used that as a thread title so people would look. :P I'm sneaky.
|
I was actually referring to this.
"Also I'd like to note, if they've gone that far with a Tech Demo, who knows, maybe, JUST MAYBE, they'll re-release it with PS3 graphics" |
Ahhh, hey anything's possible. They know how much of the market fell in love with the series because of that game alone.
Can't say it's not possible, just not plausible. :) |
true i liked the series before that but that game did bring a lot of people to like rpgs
but you're right we have to wait and see what the future holds |

Just to clarify, his exact statement was that, "We currently have no plans of releasing a remake of Final Fantasy VII." They have not started it, but that does not mean they won't. |
As long as they keep the same soundtrack then it would be cool
Would love to say a next-gen Chocobbo in action :) |
That's really incredible.
I wouldn't complain if the re-release of FF7 was somewhere in the future :p |
I'm probably one of the few people who DON'T want them to re-make the original FF7. I love the game so much, I guarantee I will find something to bitch about if it were to come out.

they'd probably make it like the matrix (a la metal gear solid: twin snakes, the worst mistake in videogame history) |
