New Nintendo Controller
I'm just curious to know what everyone else here thinks about the new Nintendo Controller (Forgive me if someone already posted about it, but I had a look through the recent posts and I couldn't find it anywhere :S)
For those of you who have been living under a rock Here are a few pictures from IGN: http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...alover/p51.gif http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...alover/p40.gif The first time I saw it I was quite disappointed with Nintendo... it looks like a remote control (and VG cats said it looked like a sex toy... and it scarily does o_o) but - I've started to warm to the idea of it after reading up a lot about it. Instead of controlling the character, you'd actually BE the character (if you get what I mean). For instance, with the Zelda games, you press the B button and Link would take a swipe of his sword - but with this new controller, you could swoosh it in the air, and Link would take a swipe in the direction (maybe) that you've slashed the controller. I think it would be awkward to use for the old retro games though personally :\ I'm a bit skeptical with that... But I can actually see the Revolution actually revolutionising the way we play viedo games. Well, I'm hoping so (mainly because if this flops, Nintendo are in BIG trouble). Tell me what you think |
