Nintendo Characters in EA's NBA street 3 - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Nintendo's Mario Tennis and Mario Golf did really good, so Nintendo announced that they will be making a Mario Baseball game next. The question there after was... what would be next? Football, basketball, hockey,paintball (my choice), la crosse... ?

IGN is reporting that Basketball is indeed next... but get this, the Nintendo charcters will be in EA's next hoops offering on the gamecube - NBA Street V3.

I heard that Soul Caliber 2 on gamecube sold better than on PS2 and Xbox. Simply because Nintendo's beloved Link was in the game. So I'm gonna guess that this game will do good.

There is something just wrong about that box cover. This tough street black guy and a smiling Mario.

Is that Baron Davis on the cover?

I'm really looking forward to Street 3.. I loved 2 and beat it many times.. I hope it sticks to its roots and doesn't "kiddy down" too much.

I don't mind the Nintendo characters being there, but I have trouble seeing how they will fit.. As long as they are just characters and don't greatly alter the game, I'm content not to play with them.

The characters will be respective of the console I think, much like in SC2. I can't wait for this game, me and my mates played Vol 2 drunkenly many a night.

Unless Spartak is right (which is likely), this is a hoax.

I just don't see how cartoony characters can fit in well with these major basketball player guys. It worked well in SC2 because Link is somewhat life-like, but Mario has a big ol' round nose! Oh well.

well technically, it isn't only for nintendo gamecube. since it's gonna be released for all the systems, nintendo really can't put it's "only on gamecube" label on it.

it would be funny to mario cross up a black guy with mad skills.
