Umm, "Our Database = haxxorred", "sign up or be removed"??
They seem rather confused... either the database is screwed over and people need to sign up again, or its not screwed totally and everyone who is currently still listed will be removed (seems rather pointless!). How can people fall for this? Even the email addy seems wrong, steam-validation@mail.com, why not: steam-validation@steampowered.com... lot more logical! |

How could someone be stupid enough to fall for this?

Being a system admin, I can understand why these things work so well. Its amazing how easily people fall for social engineering, even if the copy that they use for these things is so blatantly false and poorly written.
Its like most things, if people would just sit there and think about it for a second instead of rushing, they might figure it out on their own and save themselves a lot of trouble. |
