That's interesting, didn't know Microsoft acquired Rare. I know they haven't released much in the past years, and their recent release wasn't too hot. I know the game has been in production FOREVER so I see it kind of unlikely that they would scrap the GC code and redesign it for Xbox. But it IS owned my Microsoft now.....

The last couple times they talked about this game in the XBox magazine, they said that it was going to be delayed until the XBox 2. Originally, it was supposed to be the launch title, but now they say that it basically hasn't even been worked on at all.
Damn shame if you ask me, the original was a great game.

Microsofts deal with Rare was a unsuccesful one. Hasn't Rare only released two titles on the Xbox? One being Grabbed by the Ghoulies which failed miserably. They have not seen the success they had with Nintendo. I too have heard Perfect Dark: Zero is in development as well, I believe it is being kept secret.

Yeah, Microsoft pretty much bought Rare out to stop them making decent games. Hell, otherwise they would have pumped out a couple of PD sequals. With the GE/PD team now freelancing, though, whatever they come up with will only bear a passing resemblance to the original (and the best!)

Rare is working on it, they released some concept art a long time ago when Rare was still with Nintendo, and Joanna has this wierd cartoonish look to her. I've heard that it will be out whenever the Xbox 2 is launched.
