Two always come to my mind:
A, B, B, A, C, A, B: Shadowrun's "debug mode" code (Genesis) A, B, A, C, A, B, B: Mortal Kombat's blood code The reason these always come up in my head is because I spent sooo much time trying to distinguish each one for their respective games. Shadowrun and Mortal Kombat are two of the early games I purchased for my Genesis system, and I played both all the time. I finally came up with the following to distinguish 'em: "They're both pronounced "Abacab." Shadowrun has really crappy music (this is when I think of that looping track whenever you go into the bar in the Redmond Barrens and that voice keeps saying something like "Shuttenlouf!" or "Shut yo' mouth!" or something like that), so I relate Shadowrun (remember, crappy music), with ABBA. ABBA has two B's, so Shadowrun has the code that starts off with the sequential B's. Then I think Mortal Kombat's code is the "blood code," and "blood" only has one B, so that code must be the one that starts with only one B." Yeah I know it's kinda a long and drawn-out relation, but to this day, it NEVER fails! (Yes, I still play Shadowrun on my Sega Nomad). Oh yeah: The GTA codes get an honerable mention, since I've gone half a year without playing any GTA game and when I started back up again, I still remembered the codes. Here are the ones I remember: R1, R2, L1, R2, Left, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right, Down - Weapons code (first set of weapons). R1, R1, Circle, R2, Up, Down, Up, Down, Up, Down - This gets the cops off of your ass. R1, R2, L1, X, Left, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right, Down - In Vice City, this only replenishes your armor. In San Andreas, this gives you full armor, health, and $25,000. R1, R2, L1, Circle, Left, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right, Down - In Vice City, it restores your health. This code was abandoned in San Andreas.

Well, the Konami code was the first thing that popped into my mind, followed by IDSPISPOPD... followed by IDDQD and IDKFA.
For bonus points - the acronym in IDS... stands for "Smashing Pumpkins into small piles of putrid debris."

The only cheat code that springs to mind for me is the blood code for the original Mortal Kombat for Genesis. And you all know it already. Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, B, A, Start.

IDDQD was what popped into my head when I saw the title, but I think the code I used most was +shootall in Total Annihilation, which isn't really a cheat code; it just sets your bots to attack every enemy structure rather than just the turrets and factories.

That code was pretty odd though.. (JUSTIN BAILEY)
The second you got an energy tank, you had em all. And wasn't there something else... if you picked up a missle, it kinda screwed you up? Hm, it's been a while.
