A Tale in the Desert, awesome MMO
Just wanted to see of there were any other TFPers that play ATITD, and was hoping to introduce a few more to this fantastic online game. You can check it out at atitd.com, or just search it up on google. You start off as an unskilled egyptian worker and can work your way through various tests to make your way up to a leader of your fellow citizens, a master architect, a high priest, scientist, or artist/musician, cook, or duelist. What makes this game truely unique is that it consists of absolutely no violence/fighting, which you'd think would make it boring but it still manages to keep your interest through working with others towards any number of common goals.
Theres a free trial of the game that gives you like 30 hours of play time (used over any period of time) and i highly reccomend that you guys try it out. It can seem a little monotonous at times but when you get to greater skills it gets more and more interesting. -disgruntled (aka HammaTime, feel free to message me in the game, type /af HammaTime and then F11 to open. |

I tried it out when they were first working on it, it seems like it must have been at least a couple years ago...wasn't really too impressive then, though the idea behind it sounded pretty cool. I liked how the goal was to work together as a community, rather than a levelling treadmill like most mmogs.
Maybe I'll give it another look-see and check out how it's progressed. Thanks for reminding me of this game. |

Wasn't impressed at all, they took a great idea, online play, and stripped the fun, ie. competition, out of it. Very soullesss and boring imo...
