Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel; Yay or nay?

I LOVED Fallout 2 on PC. When I saw this in stores, I immediately said, "YES! Fallout on a console!" But then I looked at the screenshots on the back and it looked, well, different. I need to know from you guys: Is this game any good? Or is it just another crappy spin-off? How similar is it to Fallout 2?

Haven't actualy played it, but from what I understand, it's to Fallout what Dark Alliance and Dungeons of Norath are to Baldurs Gate and Everquest, only done worse. If that's true, think more Gauntlet/Diablo-y rather than computer RPG.

It's awful, nothing like the game of the same name for PC. My friend owns it, and he hates it. Definitely nay.

The PC version of Fallout Tactics:Brotherhood of Steel is sitting next to me right now. It is not an RPG, but a tactical combat game, as the name might imply. It is hard to get into, but enjoyable if you like that sort of thing. But do NOT get BoS for the console.

Saw a review of it on X-Play and it looked just plain bad. Did not reciew a good score either. I would say Nay.

The games alright, if you like Diablo. For the first few hours, you punch giant rats. Then you shoot raiders. Then gouls. No story. But it is fun to play on two player and kick the shit out of opposing rats.

I'd like to just announce that I hate whoever decided to name it Brotherhood of Steel BECAUSE THERE'S ALREADY A FALLOUT GAME CALLED THAT!

Grarrrgh. Do not get this confused with Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel (like I did until I looked at that website), which was a great game but not really my thing.

As a dedicated Fallout fanboy I am obligated to say that Fallout B.O.S. is a P.O.S.
Seriously, if you are interested in it because you liked the first two, stay away, it will not satisfy your fallout lust in the least it will only annoy the crap out of you that they wasted time and money making it instead of Fallout 3. The good news is that Bestheda now has the francise rights and is going to develop Fallout 3 in the near future.

I wish they would make a Fallout MMORPG. Turnbased combat and all... :)

Fallout Tactics would be a good combat engine for that..with one or two tweaks.

I really hope it will not have such crapy engine , like Morrowind had .
