I heart CS i've been playing it for a few months now and it is by far the most addicting game i've ever played. I'm not sure what's so great about it the graphics are lack-luster and seeing how there is always a 12 year old that kills you every 5 seconds what makes this game so great?

I think the gameplay is addicting...
You have to do tactical things etc :)

I like Day of Defeat better. CS is full of a bunch of mostly immature people that sound like they are five.

i'm more of a team fortress man myself, but CS is fun if you're on a lan game and don't have to worry bout cheaters and ridiculous amounts 1337 speak.

actually the team fortress crowd is about the same, but i'm good enough to where i'm too giddy to let it bother me. funny how my skills don't cross over... it's the same engine.

I didn't really care for the game. It was too arcadish for my tastes.

I used to like the Firearms mod. What I would do is equip the hand grenade, hold fire, and rush into my opponents' base. I'd run in there, trying to make sure I was surrounded by at least 3-4 enemies, and let them kill me. As soon as I died, the grenade would drop and BOOM! 2-4 kills. :)

The prone bug.. where you can go prone and move really fast. Is it proning? Yeah I think it's proning

I'm a CS addict myself. Kicked the habit though, exams.. and I'm dealing with a bunch of kiddies. :(

Have you tried Battlefield 1942?

Much more satisfying than CS in my opinion, twice as many people, vehicles, and more "real" combat.

Some servers are a waste of time but if you find a well moderated one that has no lamer idiots playing it's hella fun.

CS is worth it if you're dedicated and have time for league play www.caleague.com spend one day learning about the league and how to get a team, etc. and the competitive person in you will rise!

playing leagues is a whole different world from pubs... take the word from a cal im player. if your egularly play public servers and can REGULARLY get a score ratio of at least 2:!, you mighr be ready to join cal.

CAL = retarded.. just play the game

CS is good and all but the cheaters on public servers have ruined it for many people.

I play DoD way too much, and am interested by the prone bug you mentioned.
