Anybody tried Galaxis online? Great game that I'm totally hooked on right now. We need to create a TFP Alliance and take over the galaxy! :thumbsup:

Watch out though. I get up in the morning to check on my fleet. Got the site up all day at work and spend way too much time when I get home. Too much fun so watch out.

Registered, waiting on my registration confirmation mail. How do we set up an alliance in-game?

My player name is epsilonomega and my planet is Korriban.

I'm in.. we'll in the process.. Any race recommended or are they pretty balanced?

I picked whichever ones had the Pillaging bonus, mainly because the description defined them as being pirate-like.

I think I'll try human.

Is it cool if I join the same planet you are on?

I just submitted the registration and it said my email address was invalid.. So I tried another address (both accounts I use), and it denied that also.

Did you experience this at all when signing up?

Nope. I was using a Gmail account. (I have some spare invites, if you want one, PM me your email address and you could try using that)

I'm in, but I guess I have to get recruited into the alliance? My name is the same; if someone wants to pull me into the burgeoning cooperative, that'd be great. :) I'm a Cadien.

Is this like Kings of Chaos or maybe Mage War?

And no, this isn't lame shit like Kings of Chaos, its an actual game you play (albeit text based), not that shit where you trick people into clicking links.

Kadath, I've sent you an invitation to join/form an alliance (only 18 players max, BTW)

You can play the game three ways or a little of all. Build up your fleet and be a pirate by attacking other fleets or colonies or you can be a trader and try to buy low and sell high or you can just ferry around cargo and passengers around for money. I'm in the process of just doing a little of everything but am getting strong enough to be a pretty good pirate. Only ranked around 1200 now and it's hard to move up for me. Maybe because I'm not concentrating on one thing? I'm in the xAGEx alliance right now. I'm wondering if I can join twice and play as two different teams?

Another thing... Be sure to build up your base defenses or people will just plunder whatcha got pretty fast. There is a fairness factor built into the game so the high ranked guys can't steal ya blind all the time but the lower ranked guys can. Also, don't worry about getting the ship industries too quick. You can buy ships off other people at lot cheaper than you can build them. I haven't built a ship yet...

I'm sure you could start another account, even though it says you're only allowed one account. You could just use a separate e-mail address, and say its someone else at your place that made the account (if they checked for accounts with the same IP address).

I am still getting the "Invalid Email" error when I submit the sign-up form. I've now tried with three email addresses (all valid), and been denied.

I've also tried signing up in 2 different browsers with no luck.. So I am not sure what the problem is.

I just used my regular cox.net e-mail account when I signed up. Are you using a free e-mail account? They might require a real pop3 e-mail to play.

No dibbler, I signed up with Gmail, and I even sent him a Gmail invitation so he could use that. Maybe they don't like his ISP? Grondar, which ISP do you use?

I'm with Comcast Cable.

I've tried my Comcast, Yahoo, and also the GMail one you hooked me up with. No luck on either. Every time I click submit I am taken back to the form and "Invalid Email Address" is in red at the top.

I've tried signing up both through your invite and the "normal" way.. No luck either way.

I'm not sure what it is, because the form is being submitted and the email address is being denied. I don't know what else could be preventing success... I've never played Galaxis before, and I am not sure why my email addys would be getting kicked back.

I notice they have a message board, so maybe I can post my situation there and have a mod/developer see if they can help.

The game seems like a lot of fun, and the fact that other TFP'ers are playing makes it that much more enjoyable.. Ideally, I can work this out and join up.
