I picked up the XBox version and wasn't really all that impressed, it was sure fun, but only for a little while and then I got incredibly bored.
The game is probably good it's just that PGR2 for me makes every other racing game look like steaming shizzer. Mind you, I felt the same way about the last super-hyped console game, Spiderman 2. I think I'm slowly turning into a Gaming Arsehole. Last edited by Mr.Deflok; 09-19-2004 at 07:16 AM.. |

burnout 3 rules! I had lost interest in most racing games, because they try to be so "realistic" and you end up having to be a perfectionist to get anywhere. finally a game rewards your recklessness, but pushes the difficulty in an entertaining fashion.

I've been playing a shitlode alongside Lasereth and BlueMax, and I gotta say this game is incredibly fun. Probably one of the easiest to pick up and play games since SSX Tricky.

I wouldn't say that, I always have trouble while crashing into the wall at the slightest things.

I find the time trials to be the most difficult, primarily because when you are racing other cars, crashes don't result in a loss. In time trial, if you crash, you pretty much have no shot at gold.
So you have to drive both fast and safely, and that can be difficult, but also fun.. Until it gets frustrating.

Any mistakes, and you miss the time for gold and have to start over. Only really frustrating thing besides those races is on Eliminator races when you're in first place the first four laps, but then magically you get in one crash and the other guy takes off and you can never catch him again! Grrr

My roommate beat it with a gold medal in all 175 races in 3 days. He didn't do much else for those three days. I'm at probably 60% gold medals...I'll be fully complete soon.
