Totalfarker.. Yeah, I have a buddy w/ Bungie, and he has played the first playable level. Says it is going to ROCK... He says they have been busting ass for the last month to get a much ready for E3 as they can. Hasn't let any secrets out of the bag yet... But this guy loves First Person Shooters and he says this will make as much of an impact as HALO. Keep your fingers crossed he isn't spewing corporate propaganda....

I saw the demo of it today and I was impressed. Lots of nice new features that the first one should have had.
Hand to hand combat was a nice touch. Can't wait for it ![]()

I saw the presentation at E3. Lots of ohh's and ahhh's. Akimbo weapons, hand to hand and pistol whipping, hijacking enemy vehicles and using them against them, better AI etc, etc.

Here's my thouhgts:
I won't be too excited if they don't add a bunch of features or new ways of gameplay than the previous game. I loved Halo, but I won't let myself get too pumped up over a sequel if it's just an extension of the original, only bringing new, unplayed levels. Yea the graffics looked a little bit better in the E3 video, but the only thing that turned me on was that the levels looked a little more interactive and planned a laid out a little better. Halo is fun, but without new features and things to look foreward to, I think I'll just play friends and use my original for multi.

Extension of an original? It's not an extension of an original. It's bringing Halo to the PC finally, where it was originally intended to be. The PC version will be different from Halo so much for just the fact that it will be mouse/keyboard + internet play at much larger numbers than those that you can play with your friends every now and then on the consoles.

I remember waiting something like 1.5 years past the release date for StarCraft until it was finally on the market. The wait paid off. The price for having an awesome title as opposed to an incomplete buggy product was very worth it.
I have confidence that Bungie will do us no less of a favor. They realize the expectations the gaming community has for them, I'm sure. This isnt going to be Halo 1.5. Its Halo2. Dont expect it to be the difference akin to what Win95 was to Win3.1. But trust me, if the gameplay trailer is faithful to what its going to be like (and the overall quality of the game consistant to the original), then I'm going to have to play it nekkid. |
