Your favorite Nintendo game of all time?

Mine I do believe is the Zelda series. And when they did Zelda 2 that came out in the gold box (Cost me over $100) and it was side scrolling I almost lost my mind!!! I probably lost all feelings to my fingers everyday back then. I played about at least 8 - 10 hours a day and more on weekends!

SNK Baseball Stars. I still play it, it's cool starting out with a crap team and building them into a champion.

Secret of Mana for the SNES. It combines the best features of Zelda and RPG's into one game. I spent HOURS leveling everyone and all their spells and weapons up to take on the last baddie.

Good times.... good times.

There was one game called "Dragon Warrior" that I also loved. You had one hero that you leveled up in fighting skills in order to kill the baddies to find the wondrous sword so that you could finish off the big demon king dude.

Well once....I got a bug up my ass to see if I could finish the game without using ANY weapons at all! It took me forever and a day to finish it but I did it. I got through the whole game by using nothing but my fists! It was so great! I don't seem to have that kinda patience anymore though. Happens as you get older. LOL!

Dragon Warrior without a doubt...I went through periods where I would LIVE that game, even when I wasn't playing.

A close second would be Solar Jetman...I still play that every 3-4 years.

I'll put in another for Secret of Mana for super nes.

As much as I love the zelda games, Secret of Mana was probably the RPG I played the most and enjoyed the most.

When you say Nintendo do you mean NES or all of Nintendo?

Either way, Metroid Prime, Metroid Fusion, Metroid Zero Mission, Super Metroid and Donkey Kong Country 1 are definately my favourites.

I'm trying to remember if "Avenging Angels" were ever on any of the Nintendo platforms. I LOVED that coin-op game and I KNOW i've played it on one of the old consoles but can't remember which one. I've been trying to also find that game forever and can't seem to locate it.

Solar Jetman was a game where you piloted an egg shaped spacecraft on different planets in search of the Golden Warship. Gameplay was unique at the time, as all enviroments were low gravity/no atmoshpere(and huuuuuge), so instead of holding left to go left or pushing accelerate for a constant speed, you rotated your ship and fired short bursts or long thrusts to propel you in a the direction you wanted to go. It had an upgrade system equal to most of the rpgs at the time, and was maddingly difficult at times.

Well, if it's old school, then I definitely have to say Chrono Trigger 100%.

LOVED the old original Final Fantasy games. I remember first playing them and falling immediately in love! There was another RPG that came out right around the same time and had the same type of engine as the final fantasy series and i'm trying to remember the name. If I remember i'll post it but that series was awesome as well!!

There was a game called 'Legendary Wings', A shooting game where you play as an angel. I remember hearing it called another name at one point, could that be it? If it is, then yes, it was released on the NES.

My favorite has to be River City Ransom. From what I understand, River City Ransom Advance or whatever it's called is just a copy of the original, what a shame. I want a River City MMORPG.

What the hell. He said favourite Nintendo game, not favourite game made by another developer that just happens to be on a Nintendo platform...unless that's what he meant in the first place.

My favourite NINTENDO game would have to be Zelda Ocarina of Time. My favourite game that happens to be on a Nintendo system (but is nevertheless not developed by Nintendo) would have to be Chrono Trigger, or Goldeneye...

Favorite game of ALL time?

Damn... that's a hard one.

Man, so many...

Dragon Warrior 3 or 4. But then again.. there's Final Fantasy... and Super Metroid, and Link to the Past.. Earthbound.. Chrono Trigger.. man alive, I can't pick just ONE.

I'll go with Dragon Warrior 4.

Tecmo Super Bowl

Still my favorite game of all time. I've broken every record imaginable. Then broken it again. I've won with every single team, multiple times. I've scored over 200 points in a game. I've downloaded new rosters and done it all over again. Twice. And I still love it.

And then they ruined the series with every next installment.

BRING IT BACK AND THEN GO BACK TO THE OLD SCHOOL SUPER BOWL TECMO!!!

The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!"

Okay...I finally remembered the game that I loved as well back in the day. PHANTASY STAR!!!!! Can't remember if that was SNES though or not. I think it was. Loved that whole series. Especially the 3rd one that let you play the characters past generations. That was so cool!!!

It would be an all out melee between Final Fantasy 3, Super Mario Brothers 3, Destiny of an Emperor, Earthbound 1 and Mega Man 2.

I'm leaning towards FF3 because the job system was a massive leap forward.

Its really hard to narrow it down.
Zelda: tOoT would definately be in the top 3, I honestly cant think of any others right now, Im sure the other 2 would be N64 games also because I dont remember NES much. I remember I was blown away by Turok when it first came out too.
