The big problems I have with the PSP are battery life and utmost god damn durability. I've dropped my GBA countless times and it still works fine. You're going to need a good case to carry that thing around in and I'll be damned if im going to wear that thing around my neck. Flava Flav may be able to rock that look, not a skinny white guy. The DS will be a little easier to take around and play games. Im really interested in what developers will do with the Wi-Fi?? It adds a huge new direction for portable gaming, if implented well you can do a lot of cool stuff. for a little bonus.
The PSP is a fine system, but to me is more a media device than a gaming unit bit I guess that is the general direction of the industry though. I'll defiinitely have a DS before a psp. |
jeez, all because the PSP has better graphics doesnt mean its gonna bring better quality games. Hell, id prefer playing Zelda LTTP on my SNES then any game on the PS2.
Plus, who the hell will wanna carry around the PSP? Jeez, all because its "portable", doesnt mean its actually gonna be portable. I bet you that its gonna be a bitch to lug that thing around. Also, for gamers who actually have friends...... the GB DS will utilize blue tooth technology with its games....so playing with buds will be easy. No link to carry, and you can sit comfortably a decent distance away. o yea, you cant forget about how the second screen is a touch screen. It might not be such a big deal now, but thats cause its really one if the first of its kind for a hand held system. I guess its all up to the ingenuity of the game designers. |
Heh, all good points and all have been covered to death in this thread =)

wow... hmmm... after reading this whole thread...
i'd have to say DS. many reasons. and you shouldn't compare the dreamcast to the ps and n64.... it was released WAY after those two. Sega had all their timing screwed up. |
ps predates the Dreamcast...

That's what he said =)

2-3 hours? What the hell! I play my Gameboy Advance SP for like 10 hours straight with no AC adapter nearby. That's not nearly long enough.

OMG 2-3 Hour?! Thats fucking stupid!! PSP is gonna fail if they don't change the battery life.
