Microsoft has announced a hard launch date for Halo 2 - Nov. 9, 2004.

Saw it at the press conference and it looked friggin' amazing.

Now when's it coming out in Japan?

And what happened to the September release date? I liked the september release date! Did some reporter just pick it out of his ass?

Nope, it was totally official, this November shit pisses me off. Not that I'm hanging out for the game but because everyone who does now has to wait a couple more months, the people who suffer are the retailers as most gamers don't bloody realise that we don't set the dates./rant

I want the energy sword, that thing rocks. Plus the warthog with rocket launcher is gonna be pretty sweet.

As long as it comes by Christmas, I'll be happy; shoot, make the release date December 24th if they like...it could only improve if that were to happen.

Wow, I've been waiting for that day for a long time. Few more months won't kill me. Halo has been my favorite game since I first played it, but I'm anticipating that the successor is the heir to the throne. Holy shit I cannot wait.

Apparently, one of the game designers had the release date tattooed on his arm. Though it may have been a gimmick.

They'd have to be handing out hundred dollar bills and giving blowjobs too.

It was one of Microsoft's head XBox guys. After having a meeting with Bungie before E3, they gave him an official release date, and he really did get it tattooed on his arm. It was pretty damn cool when he raised his sleeve. The audience at E3 went crazy.
