Name that old school game

Because it's been maybe 10 years since I played it, the description's gonna be a bit vague

It's a PC game
The title had something to do with 'kingdom' (I think)
I'm pretty sure that all of the graphics were made out of ASCII symbols (but in color)
It was from the old DOS days, back when Jewels of Darkness and other text-based adventures ruled the scene

Any ideas? I was hoping to find it on an abandonware site for some nostalgia like I did with 7 Spirits of Ra.

Thanks

That's not much to go on, do you remember what the gameplay was like?

The first game that comes to mind is Nethack since it's always been my favorite ASCII game.

Thank you for reminding me of LORD! I used to play that back in the telnet days. I'm going to see if I can dig that up somewhere.

I really don't have much more to go on :/

I remember that there was one attack where you spun a sword or something around you and the sword was made up of the slashes

Each one of those was a frame. I'll try the suggestions and see if they're what I was thinking of, but I think Kingdom was in the title. Ah, well... thanks anyway

Check out The Home of The Underdogs. Quite possibly the best site in the world for old abandonware games. You should be able to search by the word "Kingdom" as well.

Oh.. on the topic of old ascii games.. ZZT!

Oh, man... I remember that game. Wasn't that the one that could be modded? I seem to recall playing maps that had MST3K and The Tick themes...

I don't know what game you are looking for but this seems like a cool little game to play. Ill post a screenshot of an old game and whoever guesses it gets to post the next screenshot. Here's an easy one to begin with...

I have been looking for a game I played in the very early 90's on PC.You were a middle eastern country and you could attack, or use diplomacy. I can't remember the game but I spent hours playing it at a friend's and would love to find and play it again to see if it lives up to the memory.

You sure that wasn't Shingen the Ruler? Although, that game is a little more indepth and
I actually think it's really cool, one of the better turn-based strategy games I've played.

LORD sucked more of my soul away waiting for installments of the Bard's Tale to come out than I care to admit.
