New Metroid prime 2 screens

Does anybody here know where I can find those new Metroid Prime 2 screen shots, aparently they're really easy to find for everyone else but me. Any help is appreciated.

I heard they weren't gonna be revealed to the public until E3.

[edit]
Anything you see until then is most likely a fake. If they're real, you'd be able to find them at big gaming sites like IGN.

Aparently they were in this months game informer, but they're copyrighted so IGN can't show them.

Those scans look legit, but you never know. Even if they aren't, I have faith the game is going to be just as good as the first if not better.

Yep, those multiplayer screens are awesome, especially if they're actually from the game.

Metroid Prime is still in my top 5 best games ever list. If Retro Studios puts anywhere near the amount of effort into this one that they did Prime, then it'll probably be one of the best games of the year.

Well, apparantly it's slated to be on the N5, so they have plenty of time to do it right.

Yeah, I've heard from every source that it's for the GC. The graphics are obviously for GC as well. They'd have to redo the game to make it for the next-gen Nintendo console.

According to the latest CUBE mag, Retro have just advertised a position for a Level 1 World Artist. They'd be hard pressed to release before the N5 if they're only designing the levels now, wouldn't they? Nintendo did the same sorta thing with Eternal Darkness and Starfox Adventures, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see this until the launch of N5. I suppose it will all be revealed at E3, though.

Ha ha, I didn't mind the scanning in Prime at all. It gave the story depth and detail. It made the game seem more realistical for me. I scanned EVERYTHING tryin to get 100% and it still didn't bother me.

The latest from IGN tells that 4-way MP fights are happening. Dunno how much fun that'll be, unless they add a huge amount of weapons to the ones from MP, and some different playable characters.

I'm not too sure about the Multiplayer-Metroid idea. Metroid Prime simply isn't a first-person shooter. It's a first-person adventure game that allows shooting. That's the reason Miyamoto wouldn't let Retro Studios give Prime FPS controls -- it'd totally fuck up the adventure aspect of the game, especially jumping. The screens I've seen look like GoldenEye with Samus...that's not good.

Well, if they have more than Samus as palyable, it might work out alright, like one Samus vs 3 space pirates or something. It'd be beyond awesome if there was a co-op, too.

I'm baaaaack!

You know, I absolutely LOVE all of the Metroid games. In fact, most of my summers before I joined high school and got a life were spent playing some Metroid game.

Which is why it makes me so sad that I am absolutely horrible at first person shooter games, and still haven't mastered it. Okay, I am not even close, and I have had it for close to two years now.

Metroid Prime isn't an FPS, it's a First Person Adventure! I still find FPS's on consoles tricky but Halo and Prime having amazingly easy controls! The auto-lock feature definately makes life easier!

Time for an update about Echoes. From the desktops at IGN.com:
Quote:
June 14, 2004 - Game Informer Magazine recently featured an updated look at Retro Studios' first-person adventure Metroid Prime: Echoes. The print publication unearthed some new details about the anticipated game, as well as some interesting information on the development cycle behind it.

IGNcube has compiled the new tidbits below:
  • Retro is still considering dual-analog support for the game
  • Even before artists were called in, Retro first designed and built all of Metroid Prime 2's gameplay mechanics and levels so that everything worked and was fun
  • Projectiles from Aran's Dark Beam can slide across the ground and home in on enemies
  • The worm-like boss in the Prime 2 E3 2004 trailer is called Amorbis. The beast is constructed of three giant worms whose mouths can shoot dark projectiles
  • New Space Pirate Commandos carry a Variable Pulse Cannon, an E-Grenade Launcher and an Energy Scythe, and can cycle between them. They also repel energy-based projectiles with a Barrier Shield and can speed across the land at high speeds using Boost Thrusters. This type of enemy can also use a Shadow Cloak to turn invisible; Samus will need to use the Dark Visor to spot them
  • Space pirates play a "very, very small part in the game."
  • New enemy Grenchlers follow Samus into the water
  • Galactic Federation Troopers appear in the game
  • There are at least four Beams in the game and possibly more
  • The Echo Visor enables Samus to see sound; an enemy called a Shrieker attacks Aran with sound beams that can only be viewed with the visor
  • There are Inglet, Warrior Ing and Hunter Ing in the game
  • The Spider Ball will be able to roll over complex surfaces; Samus can, for instance, roll over spheres and jump from one sphere to the next
That's some pretty sweet-ass news about MP2:E. I like, I like!

I've been wowed by every ounce of information, video and screenshot I've seen of this sequel but take a look at this...

http://www.gametrailers.com/gt_vault...k4_kikizo.html

If that doesn't make you want to go into hibernation until November I don't know what the fuck will! The cinematics look amazing, and Dark Samus.... DARK SAMUS! WOW! I adored the SA-X in Fusion, this Dark Samus is undoubtedly going to be the greatest boss battle(s) EVER. Oh God I can't wait!

Ok so we all wet our pants over that trailer right? Well check this shit out (keeping in mind it has the entire first battle with Dark Samus in it)
http://www.gccafe.com/e3/2004/metroid2gameplay.wmv

Then once you've cleaned your pants take a look at this one...
http://www.gccafe.com/e3/2004/metroidprime23.wmv

And for those of you who never saw last years shocking (in a good way) E3 MP2:E footage take a look (it's 14 seconds)...
http://www.samus.co.uk/movies/mprime...e3_trailer.zip

As you may be able to tell I want this game so bad it hurts. I've been waiting for Doom 3 for nearly a decade but would gladly wait longer if it meant I could own and play the new Metroid now. Hell, if every game was delayed this year so I could play Prime now I'd still be happy.

And for detailed info RE: Echoes with some spoilers perhaps check out this wicked link:
