Anyone getting the Special Edition Green Xbox w/Halo Bundle?
 

I first heard of this bundle when picking up Fight Night at EB last week.

I'm just curious if anyone is going to be getting this.

For those not aware of the deal, you get the following:

  Halo
  Power cord
  A/V cable

I don't have an Xbox myself, but was wondering if this is considered a good deal? Also, how much life (years), does the Xbox have before it is replaced by the next-generation consoles?

Lastly, I'd be interested to hear if anyone is planning on picking this up...

Sounds like a good deal if you don't already have an X-Box. I hope that deal carries on until my birthday this summer, because I'll try to get that for a present this year if it'll stay on the market.

Considering the regular xbox is only 149.99, you are basically paying 20 dollars more for the green coloring and halo (which retails for 29.99). Pretty good deal IMHO...

As for how long until its replaced by the next-generation systems? probably 2 years but no one knows for sure. As it stands right now None of the big 3 are in a hurry to rush out a new system.

Yeah, i'll be taking part in this deal. I dunno, something about that green x-box gives me good feelings.

Not worth it for me since I already have both an xbox, and halo.

It would be better if it was xbox, halo, and halo2, or even xbox, and halo2, but I guess that's just wishful thinking.

I'm thinking about it. I've been toying with the idea of getting an X-Box for a while now so with the news of this bundle, I really don't have a reason not to get it.

Yeah, I have an Xbox and Halo, too. Halo's supposed to be the highest-selling XBox game by far anyway, so I can't figure out why they would choose that one. I'd sooner pick Knights of the Old Republic or Prince of Persia. Something relatively recent that has broad appeal but isn't universally owned.

The only problem is can I mod it.
I ve heard from some other forums, that a special version of xbox uses different components.

lets seee, my xbox was 200, halo was 50, and my xbox aint green. sounds like a helluva deal to me. can they refund my $80?

Well, usually if someone doesnt have an XBOX, they don't have Halo either, so it's a hella deal.

Only game that interests me on the xbox is ninja gaiden. Theres not one other game that interests me in the slightest. I dont think im gonna dump 150$ + 50$ just to play 1 game.

Am I the only one that finds the Green XBox disgusting? I plan on buying an X-Box some time in the next few weeks, and I love the deal they have set up, but are they selling regular colored boxes? I feel my room would be ruined by having that hideous thing sitting there. Will Microsoft sell the same package but with a regular box?

I'm pretty sure that my friend spent $600+ on his XBox and games when he first got it and now you can get the special edition with a game for only $170? I think it's time to taunt him and laugh. Amazing deal and I would definitely think about it if I had even the slightest amount of extra cash.

I dunno.. I don't see the point in having an XBox. Pretty much every game available on XBox is out for PC.
