Who will be on the cover of Madden 2005?
My friends and I always try to predict who will be on the cover of the new Madden game and I just wondered what everyone else thought. I have heard that it will be Tom Brady, which is reasonable, but I have a couple of other ideas which also seem likely: Jamal Lewis, Priest Holmes, Manning, McNair, Dante Hall.
Do the poll and let me know if I forgot a worthy candidate. I left Ray Lewis off even though I think it would be reasonable because it is always an offensive player.

Madden 2001 cover: Eddie George, Titans RB Before cover: The Titans reached the Super Bowl the prior season and George had gone to three consecutive Pro Bowls. After cover: George made the Pro Bowl in 2000, but averaged 3.2 yards per carry in 2001 and 2002 and the Titans haven't been back to the Super Bowl. Madden 2002 cover: Daunte Culpepper, Vikings QB Before cover: Culpepper threw 33 TD passes and led team to the NFC championship game. After cover: Culpepper missed five games in 2001 with a knee injury, threw a league-high 23 interceptions in 2002; the Vikings have gone 11-21 since 2000. Madden 2003 cover: Marshall Faulk, Rams RB Before cover: Faulk had become the first player in NFL history to gain 2,000 yards from scrimmage in four consecutive seasons; the Rams had been to three straight postseasons. After cover: Plagued by an ankle injury, Faulk started a career-low 10 games as the Rams missed the playoffs. I think Madden 2004 cover will be Mike Vick. Think he will break the curse? Got these info in another site.

As a Ravens' fan, between Jamal's legal troubles and occasional knee question marks I will fire-bomb the EA headquarters if it is him.
I voted Priest Holmes, but I hope for his sake he isn't. Maybe put Adalius Thomas on there, as revenge for falling on Vick's ankle last year?

Personally I'd perfer Joey Porter on the hopes of another bullet in the ass, or maybe just the Steelers in general (not that they'd need any more help )

And don't forget that Danny Heatley was on the cover of NHL 2004 and ended up getting in the DUI wreck in Atlanta that killed his good friend and teammate Dan Snyder.

The people I listed either tied or set some kind of record last season, were regular season MVP, or Super Bowl MVP. I think Portis is a great RB, but I didn't include him based on my criteria. I meant to include an "other" option on the poll, but I screwed the whole thing up and had to get Bill O' Rights to add it for me.
I wouldn't put it past Dan Snyder to try to get Portis on the cover in his new uniform though.
