BF1942/DC: El Alamein - Hanger Exploit?
I'll post screenshots later...
My team was getting slaughtered by this fellow, RAMJET, and we couldn't figure out where he was killing us from. So, I changed teams and spec'd him... Turns out, he was beneath the hanger. I'd like to know how he got in there so I know how to counter it in the future. It looks to be some sort of map exploit, but I'm not certain. I am, however, very interested in learning everything about it that I can. Some game clans have been known to exploit things in the map and knowledge is the only defense against it... Thanks, -Tritium PS: We were actually playing BF1942 1.6 when I saw this guy.

I hadn't heard of this hack either yet....
Side note: not too long ago I was playing CTF, and the flagcarrier used such an exploit (which made him easy to spot, kick and ban ) but still I don't know how he did that. He was in the AXIS base of Inshallah Valley , Desert Combat, CTF, central building, central room. I don't have screenshots sadly, but clearly such exploits still exist. And yes, for me Punk Buster was enabled.

PB doesnt do anything for map exploits, its just a tiny mistake that the mappers make, leaving a tiny crack unsealed. Ive never seen anyone under the hangar, but i have gotten into rooms just by lagging through a wall. Like some of the buildings up at the top of the hill in Omaha Beach. Which is pointless to be inside, because you cant get out and you cant get ammo.

This happens quite frequently. There's not much you can do about it except ask the mod (if they are present) to kick the player. It's not a "hack" or "crack" or anything like that. PunkBuster won't fix it. You just gotta know where the place is and how to get into it.
A guy on Lost Village (Desert Combat) knew how to get underneath the stairs in one of the houses. Everytime someone came in to get the flag, he would mow them down from inside the stairs. You couldn't hit him at all!

I slammed his ass with the banstick about 3 seconds after I figured out what the bastard was doing. Then, I regretted doing so as I wouldn't be able to spec him entering the building.
It would have been ideal to slay him and then watch him re-enter the hanger "basement" area. Nonetheless, with a little Internet research, I have figured out how to enter these areas, and this exploit is not limited to el alamein...

Ha ha, now that you know how to get in the hangar, you should just drive a tank in the exploit spot and run over them or run in with the PKM and mow them down. That would be mega-ownage.

As stated earlier, this is really a design flaw in the map...As I remember, there was a big problem with this on the original 1942 Omaha Beach map, where people could crawl under one of the bunkers. I remember having free cam after getting fragged, and seeing them. Real annoyance, since they couldn't get a flag, anyway...
