Icewind dale/ Baldur's Gate... Both not to computer intense..

Maybe you could tell us your system spects: How much/type of RAM, Processer, Video card, sound if you know it but not that important.

Baulders Gate 1,2, and the expansion.

LOTS of time in that, and its an older game. But oh so very excellent!

For a good dungeon Crawler.. there would be the first Dungeon Seige.. dunno what the requirements are for Dungeon Seige 2, bu I hear it comes with the first one.

IMHO, Dungeon Siege was incredibly boring.

Although it isn't an adventure game, I would have to recommend Starcraft with the Brood War expansion pack.

This RTS can pretty much run on any computer and it has a pretty good storyline. There are thousands of people who continue playing Starcraft: Brood War online (including myself). Picked this game up around 4 years ago and I still continue to play it. I have only started playing competitively around 1 year ago, though.

It is also only $10 for Starcraft and $10 for the expansion now a days, so you really won't be spending much to just try it out.

Baldur's Gate series.
150 hours for 1
50 hours for TOSC
100 hours for SOA
40 hours for TOB
-----------------
340 hours

Is that long enought for you?
PS: you wont regret every second of it

That's nice, out of 340 hours there is at least one second you won't regret?
j/k
Charlesesl was right though, the Baldur's Gate series is great! Really long playtime, pretty good story and a nice mix of adventure and roleplaying.

Starcraft. If you learn how to use the Campaign Editor, get into a bit of Hex Editing, and use the Emerald StarEdits and the other map making tools, the possibilities are limitless.

Starcraft is one of the oldest games that I play. That and Carmageddon II, not much of a storyline in that one, but it's a ton of fun.

Afterburn said "adventure game", not RTS or RPG... The last adventure game I played and really enjoyed was "The Longest Journey" Wonderful story with lots of plot twists. I had to install it on the harddrive since I didn't like swapping discs and it took over a gigabyte to hold it all but the computer specs weren't bad. If you like humorous adventure you can't go wrong with the Monky Island games. Mystery games like Gabriel Knight are good also. I just finished a "Broken Sword" game that was also great. Just go ask the guy at your local EB or Gamestop and they should be able to find the games you want just by telling them what kind you want.
