Kingdom Hearts

I noticed some people talking about Xenosaga (Which I really want to play ... but haven't gotten around to)...

But I was wondering if anyone played Kingdom Hearts and was curious to know what that was like? I'll probably get it since I have a coupon for 10 bucks off of it...and it's a Square rpg...so...

I mean, even with the disney characters...maybe it'll be kinda cool...Or maybe the girlfriend will like it...heh

If you can get past the Disney thing, than its a great RPG.. Graphics, sound, control the whole nine is done really well. Keep in mind though that the combat is no longer turn based its real time. But the combat is easy to get a hang of. The only hard part comes in the later stages of the game but thats to be expected. Hiding Out

Me and my friend Sean said the same thing about the Disney characters, so one weekend we rented it just for a laugh. It turned out to be totally wicked cool. The main character is a mix of other Square and Disney characters, hes got Squall's hair, Goofy's shoes, Titus' clothes, and Cloud's face!

The game's rather good.. except the camera. The story is actually pretty dark, going back to the Disney days before everything went fluff.

well....... kingdom hearts.....

the pros:

it is very unique

playing with different disney characters
can be fun

the graphics are gorgeous

the cons: besides everything else

the play control SUCKS. a lot of people like it but it, ,to me, was one of the worse gameplay development ever

the characters are idiots. even if you try to adjust their AI they still do stupid shit

it's not per se hard... it's -frustrating-

you can't open item menus during battle and it seems like I remember using part of a meter or something

all in all, rent it.......

Thanks guys...

But I was just reminded about Xenosaga, so maybe Kingdom Hearts can wait...

It's just that I had a coupon from a magazine and then it turned out that it was only usable in the states....damn.

Kingdom Hearts is a great game, im 19 and i used to watch disney movies(still do sometimes) and it gives me a grin to see goofy casting magic and shit. It brings the kid out in you, and entertains you the same time by adding in old characters such as cloud and tidus and many other FF characters. Its a good buy.

If you have any wish of a combat system, do NOT play this game. Some games can get by with having a crappy combat system, and this one does, but if one of the main points about an RPG that you like is combat, then do NOT play this game.

The plot is very good, and the characters even better. Graphically, the game is very much like Brave Fencer Musashi for PS1 (with better graphics, of course). Basically, if you don't mind button mashing with no strategy in an RPG, then you'll love this game. If you want a combat system that requires strategy, look elsewhere.

Dude, play Xenosaga before you play Kingdom Hearts. Xenosaga was FLAWLESS! Kingdom Hearts had it's problems. I had to stop playing, between all the stupid platforming puzzles and the camera that made said puzzles near impossible to beat. I got what I wanted , though...I fought Cloud ...
