What kinds of strategies do you guys employ when playing casino games?

I'm interested in knowing more about Roulette and Craps.

I know a lot (most) of it is luck, but are there any kinds of methods you would use?

Are you talking about those dodgy online casinos out of some tiny tropical island? Or do you mean "just-for-fun" casino games like strip poker?

I mean.. a really real casino.

I am a lover of the craps table. I do have a pesonal strategy that has always worked for me. Ill put them minimum down at the pass and if I get the point Ill back it up by double. I always play the 6,8,10 #'s uless they are the point. Ill also play the the hardway if its the point. So if the point is 8, Ill play the 6.10 #'s on top, and the hard 8. I brought $40 with me the last time I went and left with a little over $350. It hasnt failed me that much and Ive been playing for about 2 years.

If you really want to play the odds, you ought to stick to Blackjack.

Here are the best strategies:
Blackjack--learn the "basic strategy" and play like that... you can find this by googling for it probably.
Roulette--really, the best odds are betting the 1:1 boxes (the colors, even/odd, etc)
Craps--Pass Line and Don't Pass Line are the best odds, plus betting "the odds" once the point is established is good... that's just what I've picked up from reading up on strategy but I'm still too confused as to how the game actually works to play it at a casino...

Blackjack and certain bets on Craps offer the best odds. However, I think the best thing to do is learn how to play Texas Hold-Em poker and play it at the poker room in a casino. Blackjack is hit-or-miss, but lately I've been doing reasonably well turning a profit by playing holdem.

If you play fairly conservatively like I do, it takes a relatively long time for you to lose money if the cards aren't coming for you. The vast majority of the time, players should fold their starting hands. Whereas in blackjack, you could potentially lose a pretty hefty chunk in as little as 5-10 minutes. That's not very appealing of an experience at any casino.

I only play Hold'em at the casinos. I think its the best game to win money at. Once and I while I play Pai-gow, but only when I need a break from hold'em.

I know this is an old thread, but I was just thumbing through and thought I'd do a public service and dispel this myth.
In roulette, every single bet has a house take of around 5.26%. The only exception is a row bet on five numbers (0, 00, 1, 2, 3). That bet is a little worse. It bugs the heck out of me to see people trying to use roulette "strategies," when all bets have the same take no matter how you combine them.
